Parking? Free and easy on the street.Service was amazing, and we got seated early. We made reservations (which are $25 per person but that gets deducted from your total bill). It’s a small plates restaurant so you get the dishes as they’re made. We ordered an app, three entree plates, a dessert, and 4 drinks and not a single thing was bad! In fact, it was hard to pick a favorite. Highly recommend the ribs.

Second time here, plan ahead and get a reservation. The flavor in the dishes were so delicious. AND get the coconut caramel ice cream dessert. No pictures because it we ate it so fast!

Exceptional experience worth experiencing! Prepare your taste buds for the rich vibrant spicy flavors. Takoi is different in an amazing way. I enjoyed all it and will definitely return for another visit. Make reservations because this quaint place fills up quick.

I'm from Ann Arbor, where everything is overpriced and generally run-of-the-mill. Takoi pushes in the envelope in a refreshing way, and you won't regret the experience. We were stunned by how fast the service was, how efficiently the place ran, how unassuming servers were, and how creative the food and drinks were. The coconut cream pancakes were ridiculous, as was the "Promises in Vortex" cocktail. Don't pass up this opportunity—it will stick in your memory for a while.

Unexpectedly great Thai restaurant! I was very amazed how good their som tum thai was, and the boat noodle was also great! I also tried the fried spare ribs and although it was not entirely bad the sauce was too sweat and sticky. Fun concept and the hipster vibe was impressive but most importantly foods are really well done. I would definitely recommend this place to any thai food fan.

Takoi exceeds excellence, and that's an understatement. As far as overall dining experiences go, this is the best dining experience I've had in Detroit when considering holistically for food, ambience, quality of service, and price relative to the value received. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the restaurant is operated beautifully and seamlessly. Whoever designed the restaurant, from how the food is inspected before being served to how the payment stations are strategically placed so that you don't have to wait forever for your check, to how the dining room is small enough to where your server can't lose track of you, must've had some sort of background in Lean Six Sigma and process improvement. I've never seen a restaurant run this efficiently before. It was amazing and impressive to watch. You know a restaurant is top-notch when you ask your server what her favorite restaurant is in the area, and she answers "honestly - this one."Last note - Emily, our server, was outstanding. Management should reward her with a raise or some sort of recognition. The entire staff was so friendly. We'll definitely be back.

it's a little loud if you have trouble with background noise. Our waiter was very attentive and gave good suggestions about what to order.

Got take out via door dash. It was fresh and hot when it came. Everything was fantastic. Great flavors and textures. Happy I can get it delivered now!

Wonderful. Drinks were great, our server Kaitlyn was amazing. Saw that we were more focused on catching up than looking at the menu and offered to take control, brought us 4 courses that absolutely knocked our socks off. This place is not afraid of flavor. You will not regret this experience.

A must-visit in Detroit. I’ve been visiting Takoi since they first did a pop-up in Ann Arbor and every time they add new things to the menu, it’s a hit (like the Jungle Mussels). It’s a whole vibe and so much fun here. Delicious (and spicy!) food and creative cocktails.
