I travel all over…I love excellent service ..who found Trang? She is a GIFT! Best service I’ve had in ages…WOWOh and the food was awesome. She suggested I get something different than I was going to order…..she was RIGHT!Airport food does NOT have to be bad.Airport service does not have to be indifferent❤️
I had a layover so I decided to get a bite to eat. My waitress Jessica was at first very nice and friendly. After my meal I went to pay. She took my payment which was a debit card. I signed for my check and I put my card up and wanted to give a cash tip. She rudely and with much hostility told me “ The tip wasn’t included in your bill.” To which I replied “I know..”. She then rolled her eyes and smacked her lips. I kept my money in my wallet at that point. The food was good but the staff ,especially Jessica, was very rude.
This is the worst sushi I have ever hard. I ordered avocado and tofu rolls. The avocado roll was edible. However I could not eat the tofu rolls. Take a look for yourself.
Was severely underwhelmed by this airport food. I ordered the poke bowl, and when it came out rather than the glistening fresh tuna I'm accustomed to seeing it looked like they smothered the tuna in spicy tuna mix. I'm fairly certain the tuna was spicier than anything you can actually find in Japan. On the first bite it was immediately apparent that it had been done to mask the fact that the tuna wasn't too fresh. It was served with shiitake mushrooms dowsed in an extremely sweet (and distinctly American) sauce. The cucumber and tomato garnish was the highlight of the meal, while the wakame salad was not terribly fresh either. I ended up eating enough white rice just to tide me over until my flight landed, and I could get some proper food somewhere else. Thumbs down ?
The people leaving this place mediocre reviews are out of their mind. You‘re in an airport 1000 miles from an ocean, eating fresh sushi in prepared by someone who knows what they’re doing, and it actually tastes really good. You could be eating a $15 Caesar salad that came out of a pallet. This place is great. I don’t pass through this terminal often, but when I do, I look forward to eating here.
I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this was the worst sushi I've had in my life. First, the ginger salad was not fresh. I was told the chef was going on break and had a lot of orders so it would take about an hour for my order. No big deal, I wasn't in a rush. But then the chef came back and people that just sat down got their orders. Fortunately a server, Jessica checked on me and took care of my order. She was the best part of this experience. I got the Philadelphia roll and couldn't finish it. The salmon must have been under some kind of heat because it was very warm. I don't expect much from an airport but I didn't expect my local shop-rite's pre- made sushi to be far superior either. Don't order any drinks with ice either!
Typical airport restaurant: expensive, hit-or-miss service, bad food. It's tolerable if you're stuck in the airport and desperate. Personally I think you're better off spending your money on some snacks at the nearby Plum Market.
Rude staff I order regularly as a pilot traveling out of metro and they are always understaffed, the one time I ordered a large meal for myself and my wife we were told we could not dine in because my 2 year old had a happy meal from mcdonalds…..im sorry he doesnt like the sushi we like, hes 2! I will not be back and if you dont want to be treated like garbage I suggest you avoid this place as well. half a star if I could rate it that way. food was always decent but sometimes when service is that bad it doesnt matter!
The waitress was awesome but and sushi was so so and no cold glasses and beer warmed fast. I had 5 them...lol. or maybe I'm spoiled with Goros in San Antonio?
Pretty average airport fare. The green tea was made out of some powdery mixture. It's what you'd expect.
