We stumbled upon Small World Kitchen by accident. We decided to give it a try.The staff were super friendly and they have a wide variety of options. We ordered alot of food since there was so many of us. The food was on time and piping hot.The portions are huge and we ate well. We had a great time and plan on returning when we are in the city with family.
VERY GOOD LAMB DISH
Excellent food and service authority good food. A Detroit gem in the making. Priced right.
Best food and biryani
The food was good and filling. There was a huge variety of food from different cultures. Prices are cheap for the amount of food they provide. 10/10
We came in as a family and were blown away by how tasty the food was. We had an elderly grandma who was able to have a Turkey sandwich. It’s wonderful to find a place that has great Indian and Middle Eastern food with options for the less adventurous ones.We started with some naan and samosas. We tried the cheese and chicken samosas. They were ultra fantastic! I don’t have photos because we gobbled them up too fast. Our grandson couldn’t get enough of the cheese samosa.I got the chicken curry, my husband got the beef Shawarma, both were excellent! The chicken was tender and juicy, the spice level just perfect. My daughter got the Shish Tawook. She’s still raving about how tasty it was. The chicken was succulent and the sauce was flavorful without being spicy.Every time we’re in the city we will be here!
Wow!! So good. Amazing shawarma, seasoned so well and very flavorful. Might even be the best I’ve had in Detroit. Delicious pita, hummus, and great house salad as well. Very affordable, and good portion sizes. Friendly service and spotless on the inside as well! Will 100% be back to try out the curry, it looks soo good.
Really good! Great portion sizes, great prices.
Absolutely the best "wandering around" place we could have ever stumbled upon! So many unique authentic options. We decided on Beef Schwarma, Veggie Pesto Pizza and Greek Salad...all incredibly delicious! THE GREEK DRESSING IS THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD! TBH I slurped it off my plate! The employees were super nice and genuinely kind. The restaurant was clean and inviting.Kind of hard to find but well worth it, see pic of building. Hidden just across the Detroit Institute of Arts at 111 Kirby. Ohhh my, it was all just so good!!! Thank you for bringing so many different things to one wonderful spot to eat!!! A rare find through and through!!!P.S. we filled out bellies for under $20.00!!!
This place is great!!! Located right across from DIA and perfect for a lunch or dinner stop. Food was amazing and quick. I definitely recommend stopping in for a bite to eat. Oh yeah, they have mango juice too!!
