Rocco's has been an amazing addition to the neighborhood. Not only is the food top notch and reasonably priced but the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I am obsessed with mozz and mozz sandwich. It's one of the few meals in Detroit where I feel like I'm absolutely getting my money's worth.
Picked up the Chop Chop salad for lunch & it's absolutely delicious! The veggies taste so fresh and their house balsamic dressing pairs really perfectly with all the flavors -- such a great option for a healthy mid-day energy boost.
Well worth every penny! My girlfriend and I split a muffuletta and a meatball sub and honestly both were perfectly sublime. The muffuletta had the perfect ratio of olives and salami with really nicely flavored cheese. The meatball sub was perfectly sauced and the meatballs were really tender and flavorful stuffed inside a nice soft cheesy sub bun. Definitely my new favorite sandwich shop!!!
This was absolutely amazing. I was in from out of town and wanted something authentic to Detroit. What I found was absolutely Heaven. You want gourmet Italian sandwiches or deli meat and cheeses? Do not overlook this spot. My friend and I were in town from almost 3 hours away on some other business but did a little searching for good sandwiches to eat. Google did not disappoint by recommending this place. First and foremost there was convenient parking. There are not many tables to dine in but we waited and luckily right before our food was ready a table was available. (Grateful we didn't have to eat in the car)..... So be patient if you want to eat there.My friend and I both had the "Zio Freddo’s Got Serious Beef sandwich" and a strawberry Italian soda ...... So amazing. The beef melts in your mouth, with a mild kick. (I can't eat it if it's too spicy. It was perfect) I haven't had an Italian soda since I was a little kid... Since my grandmother was still with us. I'd recommend ordering one. The staff was so friendly and helpful!! This is an authentic Italian deli. I can't wait until my next visit to try something different. Holy heck you need these sandwiches inside of you. My choice was SERIOUS BEEF. Was not even slightly disappointed. Super nice place.
I’ve only gotten carry out prior to today. I had a favorable view prior, but dining in this afternoon blew my mind.My last carryout was still during the COVID lockdowns/restrictions. So I had to order ahead of time and do curbside pickup, no biggie it’s how everyone was doing things then. Food was still pretty good by the time I got home.Today I had a drs appointment nearby and had to gave blood drawn. I’m super skinny, and giving blood makes me nauseous and EXTREMELY hungry. I was planning on ordering carryout but noticed people eating inside.It started raining, and I bike… so I decided to dine in. Food was amazing, service was absolutely stellar. Every single team member I interfaced with was polite, helpful, ALL SMILES. They all seemed to enjoy where they’re worked and we’re having a good time (not in a bad way, everything was VERY professional)Definitely gonna come back.
My new favorite spot, the Muffaletta was really good.
Nice variety of sandwhiches with fun names. You can find some out of state craft beers. The Italian Beef sandwhich was tasty.
Quite possibly the best meatball sandwich I have ever had in my life. The meat was super flavorful and seasoned perfectly. The cheese and bread were equally as good and as fresh as can be. You definitely can taste the quality here and with reasonable prices as well. I am looking forward to come to Rocco’s again many more times as everything on their menu looks equally delicious. This is a top tier Italian deli in Detroit, look no further.
