My fiance and I ordered the shrimp red beans and rice and a BBQ chicken dinner very tasty but I didn't care for the sweetness of the shrimp red beans and rice. Maybe that's the creole way. I will order again, maybe something different. That's why I didn't give five stars it was the sweetness of the shrimp red beans and rice.
The flavor is amazing in my gumbo. I got it with the steamed shrimp. The pricing is reasonable! The staff is welcoming and friendly! Parking is a challenge. Carryout only no dine in.
I haven't had Jambalaya like this since I was in a backyard in Pickens, MS. It was wonderful.
I'm from Louisiana and allow me to say the name is well deserved. I've been in Michigan 3 days and have eaten here two days in a row. Food is fantastic, price is right and service is as good as can be.Bernard

I went in earlier today and ordered two dinners. I requested mac n cheese for a side for both dinners. I didn't get it. One plate had greens and string beans. I don't know why. Over all, the food was good.
Gumbo was very good. Prices are reasonable. Service was quick an very pleasant. Much to my apprise TWO real corn muffins (not Jiffy) came with my gumbo. I eat small portions and had enough to save for later. That made me very happy ?
Really good food but their new containers for the red beans and rice aren't so good. Made a mess. Also, sure would be nice if you got the red beans, sausage and shrimp in one container and the rice in another. As cheap as rice is you'd think that you'd get more.
Very nice selection of Cajun food; we tried their stews and soups and we especially loved the red beans and rice. The staff were very considerate and helpful at our first visit there and even came out from behind the Plexiglas to return my credit card to me after I got distracted and was waiting for our packaged meal. We were sad to hear that it's going to close down. Our only problems was they didn't have it set up for in person dining yet.
It's good, not great but tasty. 3 stars for Red beans and rice was good. We tried gumbo amour, red beans with beef sausage.* The catfish, greens, yams and 7up cake was 4 stars for sure.
