I ordered the grilled chicken and strawberry salad. It was a nice large salad and all of the ingredients were very fresh. My waitress was an absolute sweetheart and provided excellent service.
We ordered our favorite appetizer, the "Wild West Shrimp". It was to die for, served hot and fresh. It was also reasonably priced for an airport restaurant.
This location is conveniently located in the Detroit Metro Airport. It was clean and a relaxing place to grab a bite to eat between flights. The staff was excellent and quick getting orders out due to the fact people might be short on time. Our waitress Pamela was fun, kind and very efficient. Definitely recommend stopping here of your on a layover. Food was excellent and 5 star.
I must say that typically I avoid these corporate run chain-style steak establishments at all costs, but I happened to be at the airport and needed a quick meal before catching my flight. I reluctantly chose this place because it was literally in the closest proximity to where I was in the airport at the time.I also did not have steak, because that would have been much too heavy for a lunch/plane ride, so I opted for a surprisingly delicious chicken sandwich and a beer or two. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated, but it hit the spot and did the job. This location is obviously a fraction of the size of a normal stand alone Longhorn Steakhouse location because well, it's in the airport and that would be a bit strange for them to to a full size restaurant into a place where people spend such a short amount of time. That's really neither here nor there though, beyond the fact that if you found yourself here on a overly busy day, you might have a bit of a wait because this place as previously stated is pretty small.Beyond that, this particular location is clean, and the employees are friendly, professional, and proficient. The chicken sandwich I got was surprisingly delicious, and I left feeling just the right amount of full for my flight. The beer was also cold, and went down smoothly.Would I typically recommended Longhorn as a whole if you're looking for a quality, well cooked (to your personal specifications) cut of meat? Probably not, but I would absolutely recommend this particular location for a quick bite before or after your flight. It's a (hopefully quick) in and out and then you can carry on your merry way.Cheers!
Initially we were worried about the wait. Looked busy & we were told about a 15-20 min wait. Our table was ready in 5 min! We had a super friendly wonderful waitress. The food was so good that we dove right in & forgot to take pictures. Sorry lol. I got the lamb chops. My husband had a steak. My son got salmon. My daughter had chicken strips. We shared the stuffed mushrooms!
Nothing like a real longhorn steakhouse. Steak has no char. It sat in oil and grease. Mocktail was good. Prices were decent for being in an airport.
Actually very good. The Wild West Spicy shrimp was the bomb and our favorite out of everything we had. My filet was cooked as ordered. Next time I'm in DTW I'll be stopping in at Longhorn.
During a very long layover, after a flight back from Paris, we chose the Longhorn for our dinner. Service was great, and the food was better than I expected. My wife had the Caesar salad with salmon, and I had the Buttermilk chicken bacon sandwich. Her salad was good, my sandwich was great. Honestly, the chicken was difficult to eat as a sandwich, because the piece of chicken was so large. The fries that came with it were okay. As airport restaurants go, this one surprised me.
Absolutely loved the buttermilk bacon chicken sandwich. A great choice!!
Awesome service!!! Sat at the bar an it was exquisite!!!!!????????
