HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Best place in Detroit! My husband and I traveled to Detroit for the weekend and stumbled on this gem on pure accident (or maybe it was divine guidance?!) The owners were so welcoming and friendly and they knew so much about the wine they sell! The atmosphere was amazing! We fell in love with the charm of the place immediately. It was so hard to pick a "favorite" spot to sit, so I think we will need to make the 5 hour drive back just to visit again!
Stop what you’re doing and pay a visit to Ladder 4! Spectacular wine bar and bottle shop in a beautifully-renovated fire hall with a massive back garden and sprawling upstairs patio. Wine, snacks, vibes and service were top-notch. An instant Detroit classic that I can’t wait to try out again.
Extremely impressed with the detail and thoughtfulness of the renovations made to this old Fire Station turned wine bar. The staff was very knowledgeable about all their wines and seemed to have an encyclopedic memory for stories and details of each one. The food was great and paired perfectly with the drinks. If you're looking for a hidden gem in a lovely quiet neighborhood in Detroit, look no further!
You have to see this beautiful & historic building with your own eyes! Pictures do not do it justice. Incredible efforts went to restore as much original work as possible, while also adding in modern features like patio and rooftop seating. A great neighborhood place to grab a unique wine offering.
Excellent service in an architecturally interesting building. Wide selection of natural wine selection. In my opinion one of the coolest places in Detroit to hang out and have a drink, especially now with the patios and balcony.

Home away from home! Awesome hospitality and an interestingly diverse wine selection. Knowledgeable attentive staff and absolutely beautiful space. Massive selection of wines to take home as well! A must-visit.

This place is awesome! Just the wine shop is open right now but they have a great selection of unique wines. The staff/owners are really friendly and helpful in helping pick out wines. The building itself is a beautiful restoration and one their main seating is open they'll have lots of outdoor space.
