Great location and good price. Some parts of the hotel are nice but others are very rundown, like the elevators. Slow check in and valet took some time. The rooms are pretty small and our comforter had a stain. It also looked like they fixed the drywall around the light fixture and didn’t finish putting the light back together or really clean up the drywall mess. Overall it was decent.
I came to hotel indigo for memorial weekend. The staff was very friendly. Parking was easy behind the hotel which was convenient. I like the fact that the manager Evelyn listened to my interests of me wanting a good view. I know this sounds weird but they have really good ice cubes. And my favorite part was the second floor which has a really good view of the streets. They also have a gym which is really clean.
We knew it was not going to be a good experience when we walked into the hotel at 4pm, and there was a check in line that was at least 20 people deep. What we were told was that they do not check anyone in until precisely 4pm. When they did start, they had one person at the front desk for the first hour. The line was so long that it had to double back. It did not feel safe particularly during a time when Covid cases were on the rise again. There was not a manager on site to resolve the situation. In the evening, we discovered another feature of the hotel - it was clearly a known party hotel. Next door to us, kids were blasting music and screaming and laughing. We could hear enough of the conversation that it was someone's 21st birthday. Security eventually came to kick them out, but there were two more parties we heard throughout the night. The combination of short staff, lack of management on the premise, and clearly a known party hotel, I would not recommend it unless, I suppose, you're a guest at one of the parties.
Evelyn was very kind at check-in and provided us awesome service. She gave us a personal list of her favourite restaurants and bars in the area, all within walking distance, and recommended a few local hot spots and attractions. She is the bomb!!
Evelyn at the front desk was so kind in accommodating us since we arrived earlier than expected for our check in. They also gave us a list of local places to get food and do some errands since we were not familiar with the area.
The only redeeming quality about this place is their bartender, he was more helpful and knowledgeable than the front desk. Room was small and felt dingy, it almost felt like we were in an abandoned part of town.
nice to go on the front desk or restaurant at the hotel, really nice people and Evelyn speak english and spanish and try to help every one. if I need to come back to detroit for sure I'll stay here on this Hotel
The staff could not be more accomadating and receptive to my needs. From the valet to the front desk, they were able to provide everything I needed and wanted. Will definitely stay here again when I am in the area. thank you so much for your hospitality and attentiveness.
Got a good deal on the room through Priceline that made it very worthwhile. Regular price is high, but typical of the area.Room was clean and nice. The area is nice. Parking is accessible, but expect to pay. (Seems pretty normal for the area.)Standout service from the lady & gentleman working the lobby/front desk on the morning shift when I checked out on 5/20. I realized I left something behind hours after I checked out and came back at noon to see if I could retrieve it. They went out of their way to find it for me and I really appreciate it!I would definitely stay here again when I need to come back to town.
The hotel is aesthetically nice on the outside and lobby and close to the Ball Park. Water damage in the corner of the ceiling near the window in my room. No vending machines. No soap at all when I arrived in my room and the shower did not drain. No air conditioning in the lobby and we stood in line for 30 minutes waiting to check in on a 85 degree day. Valet parking only and is $35 charge to room. Be mindful of fees not listed as well that will be added to credit card. Hotel staff was nice and courteous.
