Pre game drinks and lunch! Alex is an outstanding bartender! Go Tigers!

The atmosphere is great before a Tigers/Wings game. The drinks are good but the food is something that I would pass on.Years ago when the this place opened, everything on the menu was very good. As time passes the quality of food has significantly dropped.I recently had the pepperoni pizza. The pizza was very lacking in the sauce department as well as the toppings. Each square slice had 4 small pieces of pepperoni. That with the lack of sauce made it glorified cheese bread.

Multiple previous positive experiences, all on game day so I do recommend for a pre or post game drink and/or grub. Today the kitchen was the slowest I've ever experienced here, or elsewhere. The wings were wayyyy over cooked but all of the other food was above standard once it arrived. Our waitress was polite and delt with our frustration extremely well. The Manager on duty handled our frustration extremely well also and visited our table without us having to ask and ended up discounting our check, even though we were prepared to pay in full. Not the greatest experience today, however I've seen this place do better so we will definitely be back.

I try and only give positive reviews to places, as many people rant about the bad and forget the good but every now and then awful does need to be recognized! If you are in the area for a game do yourself a favour and go anywhere else....like absolutely anywhere else.We were in town to see the Jays play the Tigers on Sunday June 12 and to a person the 3 guys I was with and myself all said Hockeytown was easily in the top 3 worst experiences of our dining lives. They open at 11 and were horribly unprepared for any customers (which makes no sense on a game day you know will he busy). The staff has less personality than soggy cardboard and our server was just awful. She was miserable, slow, and spent more time wandering around aimlessly than paying attention to her tables. She not only cost the bar 2 more rounds of drinks from us but also cost herself 20 bucks in tips. For the first time in my life I actually considered not leaving a tip at all.It took almost an hour for the food to come, the portions were pitiful for the price and the beer list is beyond disappointing. My friends and I will never be back and we strongly suggest anyone reading this find somewhere else to go enjoy a bite and beer before the game.

So I haven't been here in a while and decided to come out here for a comedy show with the wife. She had never been here before. When we came in we were greeted by the people at the door and led to a table. Our waitress Carly was very nice and professional. And she had a very upbeat personality. The music was 80s and 90s throwback hip-hop and R & B. Which was right up both of our Alleys. We were almost going to leave because my wife was looking for something a little bit different on the menu. But after getting a couple drinks and looking around at all the other orders that people were getting, she decided to stay. I'm glad she did. I ordered the hockey Town Burger and she ordered the Maurice Salad. And let me tell you it was amazing! And you can't go wrong with a side of tater tots and Buffalo chicken. Definitely will come back here again when we come back in June for the 70 Summer Jam. Thanks for a great experience guys and gals! Lastly, it's very rare when you go into an establishment in the restrooms are as clean as they are. But, this place takes their bathrooms very serious because when I came in it was immaculate! Thanks again.

Food was great and service was incredible. Long waits before sporting events, bit what would you expect.

Holy cow has this place gone downhill. WOW! 4oz pour of generic Riesling was $12 in a plastic cup. I got an Old Fashion (in a plastic cup) that was hilariously small. No exaggeration, it took 3 sips to finish—$13. “Pizza” tasted like it was made in an EZ-Bake oven. The loaded tots were actually decent but we could see the shape of the sour cream squeeze bottle and they had generic liquid cheese. It was an overpriced cafeteria experience. 2 stars for the crispiness of the tots.

My girl and I stopped at the Hockey Town Cafe and Bar last week, just before the Tool concert we were attending across the street at Little Caesars Arena. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the little bit of food (small deep dish pizza) we had was pretty darn good and the drinks were ice cold. All and all a good time was had by both of us. They also have some pretty cool and interesting Detroit themed decor/memorabilia strewn throughout the establishment, they even had some themed motorcycles staged around the dining area. Definitely worth checking them out, if you are ever in the area.

Good food, but definitely overpriced. Paid 15 bucks for 2 hot dogs with fries. Other than that, the food is good. The beer selection is limited though. It may have been a limited menu because I was there before an event so I'll give them that.
