Prompt and fast service. Food was excellent. Sat down, got water within about 1 minute, ordered within a minute of that. Food came out about 5 minutes later and was great. Check was there before I was done eating, I gave my waitress my credit card and paid before I was done eating. It was excellent. If I visit Detroit again, I will definitely go back for breakfast. Perfect diner atmosphere and excellent prices too.
Great old school diner breakfast. Service was fast and friendly. It’s not set up like a 5 star establishment and that’s just fine. What they do they do well. Highly recommend if you need a ‘morning after’ breakfast in Greektown.
While the interior of this fantastic restaurant could use some repair, you won't notice once you get your food. I've never had a bad meal here. The staff is helpful and friendly, also. For now, the prices are super affordable.
Normally the breakfast is decent but not today. They had my ham sitting on top of my pancakes and made the top pancake soggy and salty. When I lifted the ham, there was a small piece of glass on my pancake. When I called the manager to let him know about it, he was very dismissive and rude. The rest of the pancakes were actually pretty nasty as well. I have ordered food from them a few times and never had this problem. That is why I gave the second star
Geez I don’t know who is giving these reviews but portion size isn’t everything. We waited forever for someone to come to our table and when the waitress finally came over her personality reminds me of Daria…like gee thanks for being so inviting. The place doesn’t have half n half they have “creamer” which isn’t non dairy made with soy and palm oil. Toast wasn’t buttered. Everything was greasy and had burnt bits like they don’t clean/scrape the grill. The syrup bottle at the table was filthy and had congealed syrup all over the cap. When we left I glanced into the kitchen and it’s was absolutely disgusting. The ceiling over the cooking area was caked with dirt and dust. I noticed a lot of people didn’t eat and left full plates I’d imagine they were feeling the same way.
Terrific place. Family owned and they treat just like. Food was wonderful for breakfast and excellent service. Would definitely recommend.
A GREAT place to eat. The place is small but the food is so good. The staff is very friendly and you get your money's worth of food. Everything is cooked fresh. They also have great coffee.
I go at least once a month and I also get a chicken stir fry it has veggies in it and I get my vegetables inside me.. I usually get it to go and eat it for lunch.. sometimes I go with a friend and we have a stir fry only once so far.. a private little pleasure in downtown. I've been praying for them to get new floors and a new cabinet that sits their drinks on a little upgrade.. I'm still bringing that into reality.. I wish their landlord would help them and pay for this.. they are such sweet people
A real diner feeling experience.. don't expect a fancy looking place, but the food makes up for it, the breakfast was really good. One of the staff members looked like she was recording us which was kind of unusual.. could have been for a post or something I guess?
Well…. The food was really good. The owner Sal came out and BS’d with me, that was cool. Why only three stars then??? The waitress was miserable. Greeted me like I was bothering her, dropped food without saying a word, never came back to check on me.She was taking my order with her back to me while walking away. I was the only customer in there!
