Concourse A has some nice BARS!!
Made the mistake of grabbing a sandwich here when my flight was delayed and it was near my gate. There is nothing gourmet about this place - it's pre-made sandwiches sitting in a cooler. The pretzel bun ruben was microwaved and too hot to even eat for 5 minutes. The pickle they threw in soaked the bottom of the sandwich. The sandwich itself was inedible. I threw it out. There much better options.
Surprised the reviews are so bad here. Yeah, the staff isn’t friendly, but the toasted Corned Beef Reuben on a pretzel bun is on point.
This review is specifically for the pastrami sandwich on the pretzel roll. Absolutely awesome! Highly recommended. I've traveled all over the world and this is one of the best things I've ever ate in an airport. Couple of recommendations regarding this sandwich (I've had it three times now). Consume it IMMEDIATELY if you can. Leave the lid open on the container they put it in until you can eat it. This sandwich doesn't travel well. It will be far too soggy on the bottom if you try to take it onto a plane. I recommend cutting it in half (it stays together better that way as you eat it). Finally, don't be shy with the provided mustard, really lean into it. I spoon some on before every bite. Ummm, I just ate one and I'm already jealous of the one you're about to order. Enjoy!
Passed through DTW twice in a week. Visit 1 I had the pastrami on a pretzel roll that was great. Visit 2 I did the roasted chicken with avocado and it was excellent. Sandwiches look small. But are packed thick. They are pre-made and then warmed and then the toppings are added.
Stayed open when a bunch of people were stuck in the airport late at night b/c of a thunderstorm. I have never been so happy to see an airport sandwich in my life. Thanks!
Pastrami sandwich was good but its not made to order sandwich. Service was not good.
Whilst the sandwich appears small is packs a mouthful whallop of delicious flavor and pasatrmi love. Located near gate A8 . which is at the end od the terminal is the best option

Spend $10 on a cold “toasted†sandwich, and no free water cup. Suggested I could buy water for $3 though. McNamara can do better
