Thanks to Chef Anthony this was the most amazing soul food I've had in a really long time. Anthony is very friendly, and sociable. Even though I came in 10 minutes before closing time he was nice enough to explain the culinary history within his family. I had yams, greens, mac n cheese, and cornbread. I never tasted cornbread like this it was so good!

I'm from the South and lived there 45 years. I can tell you this place is the real deal. Anthony is super friendly and the food is amazing. Hands down the best fried okra I've had in southeast Michigan. The jerk chicken spices are perfectly balanced with the just the right amount of heat. Highly recommend!
Great hospitality and service. I had the cajun wings with greens and red beans and rice...oh boy delicious.
I love there red beans and rice. My daughter loves there Mac and cheese. And being it's black owned just makes it that much better.

The Mashed POTATOES ON DOWN WAS GOOD EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT
Omg!!!! So darn good and the service was awesome. It took a minute for me to get help,but they communicated each step if they way. They never left me standing there looking crazy. Every minute or so they would apologize and say I'll be with you in just one more minute. I really appreciated tht. The good was amazing and fresh. Hot steaming hot. My daughter and I both tried something new and wasn't disappointed. Flavors popping and the kool-aid was perfect!!We will return!!!
