On the night my family visited, good food, nice atmosphere, excellent service, and friendly staff.

We had a wonderful night. Food was great. Our waiter,Glen, was amazing. Definitely will return!

We met a couple before the Roger Waters concert. It was their first time and my my wife and I make it a regular hang out when venturing into the D from the suburbs. Glenn was an outstanding waiter. They made a minor hiccup where the chicken on the Maurice salad hit the floor. They told us and the owner presented dinner with apologies. White fish broiled was outstanding.

We are repeat customers. Chose to eat dinner again, as it was close to Detroit Opera House. Tasty food.. very good service at bar and at table.

Downtown Louie's has always been on my list of restaurants to recommend and eat it when downtown. After this last visit, not quite sure. Feel like they've lost their quality, maybe it's the pandemic but definitely some room for improvement. Used to be great now it was just ok.

We went here for dinner before going to a show at the Detroit opera house. We ordered the Brussel sprouts and beef tips. Both were very delicious. We then had salad and our entrees were salmon and the white fish. Everything was cooked to ordered and very tasty. We had fried Oreos for desert while we celebrated my friends birthday. Those were amazing. Our waiter was fabulous. He gave good recommendations and outstanding service. We had a great experience and would definitely go back again.

Great food, location, drinks and ambiance. Server was extremely friendly, but not very attentive. That said, the restaurant was slammed, but I've eaten here before during a busy time with better service. Still one of my favorite downtown locations for a good meal and drinks in a casual yet elevated setting

Elton John Concert dinner with family. Very busy and the wait staff was really hopping! We sat upstairs and they worked very hard bringing food and drinks up to us. Great dinner. Loud and energetic! It set the tone for the concert. Fun night!

We had the best sever and the entertainment was awesome

As soon as we were seated, the server pushed us to order our drinks, appetizer and entrees all at once. The server wanted us to "beat the rush", even though we had a reservation. The server promised that the appetizer would be spaced out and arrive before the entrees. Appetizer was brought to our table 10 minutes after entrees arrived. I order the filet medium rare and it was brought out very well done. I asked for the steak to be remade. After the other people at our table finished their dinners, I was still waiting for my meal after 20 minutes. Steak didn't arrive, so we asked for our check and left without knowing when or if the steak would be served. As disappointed we were with the service and quality of food, it was frustrating that a mandatory 20% tip is included in the bill since we were an opentable reservation.
