Our amazing server was Brianna. She was very nice and funny! My child got the Apple Cinnamon Pancakes and I got the Mediterranean Omelet. They were both amazingly cooked. The eggs were scrambled just right! The Home fries were cooked like Home fries should. The music was very relaxing while eating a nice breakfast. I highly recommend this place!
My server was Flame. She was amazing. The food was so delicious. My unexpected trip here was delightful. I fell in love with the grits. As a southerner we know grits....My wife ordered a breakfast plate that she enjoyed so much. The plate presentation was pretty. We bragged on the Turkey sausage, it was definitely a premium blend with spices. My mother in law was jazz music and the decorum. The experience was amazing.
The Detroit House of Pancakes can be summed up in the jazz they play at brunch. Generally in good rhythm, slow and methodical. I wouldn’t be surprised they have staffing issues like many businesses right now. Food was good and exactly as advertised. Portions ample. Service was unhurried.
My first time coming to this spot here on Jefferson it used to be the old ihop..!! I must say the food was terrible sad part we was starving ..!! Waitress nice , polite etc..!! Food just nasty . Strawberry syrup was so Disgusting
Horrible experience! Ordered an egg white veggie omelette received an egg beater’s omelette. Home fries were more of a dinner cut potato wedge entirely too big for breakfast. Grits were half done some bites were uncooked, lumber jack omelette was extremely greasy definitely inedible. Basically paid for food that couldn’t be eaten.
This place is exactly what we were looking for. My friends and I are from Cincinnati and we were looking for somewhere good with a decent price that also have vegetarian options. They had everything plus a bar. They have nice classical music it feels really high end.
The show of service with Evan steering our table was excellent. Three sisters enjoyed the breakfast menu, and the food was delivered hot and as to ordered. The water was filtered, and the orange juice was fresh squeezed. Thank you, for being in Detroit and hirings some of the top trained people I have yet to be serviced.
We were there today and I ordered the Vegetarian Omelet. The service was impeccable! Evan, our server, the hostess, and especially, the Chef were second to none! We ordered grits for the table and I am going to go back for the grits alone!Thank you so much! I am telling everyone about this place.
They have very slow service. They need to train they servers again about taking care of guest. I sat for about 20-22 mins before I was even helped. They make up for it by those grits. Best grits I’ve ever had in my life . The food was good as well. The staff is just SLOW af
Detroit House of Pancakes is in a great location downtown off Jefferson, lots of free parking, Has to be one of the best spots for a romantic breakfast, or business breakfast meeting on Jefferson.. Great Breakfast Cocktails & The Food Is As Home Cooked as can get, I felt like i was at my Grandmothers as a kid. Service is friendly and was very kind!
