With the actual bill they included 20% tips excess... probably they would have left us to decide the value of tips we pay... kinda compulsion... but over all that's was a good dining... serving size was huge... felt the butter in the baked batter... well behaved staff and managed the weekend crowd promptly... good to try once in awhile...

Absolutely fascinating! I can tell why buddy's pizza is #1. I visited Detroit to enjoy detroit style square pizza, and during the 3 days long stay I had buddy's pizza twice! In my personal opinion, Detroit Public TV and Peperroni is the best. Tomato sauce tastes fresh?

It was great pizza and the salad was tasty. Definitely give it a try.

Went there and they didn’t even have the full menu. Was my first time too. Never going back again.

Pizza was delicious, crispy crust! Antipasto salad was fresh and crisp

My family and I decided to try Buddy's Pizza for authentic Detroit Style pizza! The restaurant is steps away from Comerica Park and Ford Field! We were welcomed by our server AJ. AJ was great and she was very nice. The pizza was top notch. I ordered a Super 6 Mile, and my wife got the Mahrgrerita. We got 4 Squares, and let me tell you it is good for one. I finished and my wife ate half of hers. My daughter could not finish hers either. For the adventurous you can order an 8 Square, but If you have family members who like the same pizza, you can save $ by getting this one over 2 separate 4 Squares. We enjoyed our visit very much and will look for AJ for our next visit.

On the last day of our trip to Detroit, we had the most anticipated and best meal of our visit at Buddy's Pizza in downtown. We had a 4 square, 1/2 was The Detroiter, the other 1/2 was the Detroit Public Television. Both were amazing. We also got an order of the mac &cheese. It was so cheesy and delicious! But the best part was our server, AJ. She was so sweet and helpful! I would rate this visit with 10 stars if I could just because of how awesome AJ was! It was the perfect way to wrap up our firat trip to the Motor City.

Not very pleased with the service tonight. We came from out of town and chose Buddy's because of the rave reviews. We were excited to try our first Detroit style pizza but it took over an hour to get it and never once has our server checked back to see if we needed refills. We just ordered soft drinks and the pizza- nothing complicated. We literally had to beg for our bill and once I received it I was appalled that 20% gratuity was already included. So I get crp service and have to pay for it too because this organization doesn't want to pay their employee a fair wage? At least that's the impression I get when I see a 20% gratuity fee for a table with two. The floor managers are all of no use, they should be supporting their servers. It takes nothing to check back on a table. Nothing! Communication is key to customer service. If the food is delayed, fine. Tell us rather than ignore us. The server offered to send a manager but I didn't want to talk to them. There's no use when I'm dying to leave because I'm already so late!

Overrated pizza but good service by GabriellaI've had better Detroit style pies back home in TorontoHonestly taste like garlic bread with toppings but nothing specialDon't trust these high score reviews.
