Ultimate comfort food of Detroit. The pizzas were so cheesy, great cheese pull, crispy on the sides and the bottoms too. The favorite was the Detroiter. Really nice flavour and you can eat how thick the cheese was. The pricing was also really great which makes it all the more worth it.
Great tasting Pizza! I had the Detroiter and really enjoyed it. My son had a Vernors float that he said was delicious. Service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant was lively. Recommended!
Excellent pizza in a great atmosphere. Detroit style is extremely underated, but Buddy's is one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten anywhere. Will be back!
As always great pizza, but what can I say, it's Buddy's. This time it was exceptionally good. Service as usual great. Parking guy watched over our bike on the car and that's a wrap for our 50th Wedding Anniversary.
I had the lunch special. 4-Sqaure pepperoni pizza. The crust was delicious and the pizza cheesy as can get.I tried the small Greek salad and it was fresh with a nice parmesan vinaigrette dressing. I recommend Buddy's.
While visiting Detroit to go to a wrestling show, my buddy (pun fully intended) decided to check out the home of Detroit pizza. This was my first time having Detroit style pizza and it was amazing! The pizza was fantastic but the highlight was our delightful server! She was super attentive, very friendly and incredibly charming by saying I sound like I should be in Game of Thrones! I guess people from the North of England don't go there very often! Will definitely visit again next time I'm in the motor city!
We loved going to Buddy's for some hot Pizza and drinks prior to the baseball game. We were very happy with the portions and the servers were very friendly. We would go back if ever in the area !!
Last evening I ordered a large square 2 topping pizza. It was supposed to be sausage and bacon and I tasted neither of those items. I could see them but the flavor was covered up by the breading and sauce on top. It was dried out and has insufficient cheese which was bland. It was not enjoyable and I cannot believe I paid $20.00 (with military discount) for this. The same thing at Jets would have been 13.50 on Mondays and Tuesdays with tons of cheese and topping I would have tasted. I will not be back ever again. It is definitely over-rated. This was the Birmingham carry out location at dinner time.
Somewhere between New York style thin pizza and Chicago deep dish lies the perfect culinary middle ground of Detroit style pizza! Wow, this pizza is really good. The crust is like a square pan style that is slightly crusty at the edges but soft and savory under the toppings. The top notch cheeses and other toppings put it right on point. We also got the chicken wings and meatballs with buddy bread, both were delicious as well. I will definitely put this place among my highlights in the Detroit area. If you’re hungry and love good food, don’t miss Buddy’s Pizza.
This pizza was horrible. I couldn't find the ground beef nor the bacon. I would have liked the owner to have bought this pizza and see if he/she would have happy with it...to add to it the pizza was burnt. I went to the Conant location on 4/16/2022
