Service was excellent. Food was awesome... didn't really care for the purple rain drink but the gummy bear shot was excellent. After reading some other reviews I think they must change their menu often. They did not have many things on the menu when I went there that other people are talking about.
Bobcat Bonnie’s is a great brunch choice in Detroit. They have a creative menu that includes great vegan options. The drinks are clever and the cereal shooter flight is a really fun experience. They offer great indoor/outdoor seating options and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.Minus one star for the first table we sat at - there was quite a bit of food on the floor from the last group. We moved outside which was much better, except for some loud music played from a glitchy Bluetooth speaker. Could’ve done without that. Overall a positive experience.
**Update**Ashley was great and super sweet. Food was very tasty. I’d come back if our greet time was good. We saw a few tables sit down and were immediately greeted so maybe just a fluke but management should pay closer attention to situations like this so it doesn’t ruin an entire experience.***********We have now been sitting at our table for almost 20 mins without even a greet and multiple servers have passed us. Said something to the hostess and now has been 5+ more mins still sitting here.Pretty underwhelming considering the reviews posted. It’s not even that busy.
Heard a lot of good things about Bobcat and we finally made our way there. I need to mention they have free trivia night which is pretty cool. Someone plays host and asks the questions. You participate with you phone. They give prizes for 1st and 2nd places. We had the pretzels for an appetizer. I forgot to take a pick of them but they were really good. My wife really enjoyed the Salmon Pasta. There is no sauce but it does have a balsamic drizzle. She said it was very good. I ordered the yellowbird burger. The aioli was super good although I would order extra on the side. Our service was awesome, friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back!
Love the atmosphere and energy at Bobcat Bonnie’s. Ashley was an incredible bartender. I really wanted something that felt like summer in a glass and she delivered. If you’re looking for great food and the best staff around. You’ll find it at Bobcats!
Great drink menu! Tried the cereal shooters lucky charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and fruit pebbles. My favorite was fruity pebbles. Their made with rum. They kinda reminds you of the taste drinking the milk after you eat the cereal. Ultimate mimosa was strong and good it had more then just champagne. The have a mimosa bar where you can add you juices and add in fruits. I got the chicken and waffles with eggs. I didn’t care for the chicken tenders and eggs on top of my waffle. I was force to it them together. It was good but noting speculator. Will go back to try more drinks and items off the menu.
Build your own mimosas and bloody Marys! How fun! They provide you with a large wine glass full of champagne and then you take it up to the bar to build it yourself. Plenty of juice choices and many different types of fruit to put inside as well! Super delicious just wish our server would have pointed us to the right direction as this was our first time here. Got biscuits and gravy and avocado toast. The drinks were definitely better than the food. My avocado toast was subpar at best unfortunately, soggy bread and not much else to it.
Really great service. Our server was very attentive and very fast. The food came out extremely quickly. We came for brunch and had a great time. Liked the music they had playing a lot, have a feel of just a relaxed spot that you can also jam out in. The only thing I didn't like was how close some of the tables were, it just made it tough to have an intimate conversation when I know everyone can easily hear me. The facilities were clean and clean looking. The prices were alright too high for my taste but I am just a frugal person lol. Definitely give them a try, it's worth it!!
I have been to the Ferndale location & was pleased so decided to stop in at the Detroit Corktown location with some friends and was disgusted and beyond disappointed! The waiter was nice, but the food, drinks, & overall service was complete TRASH! They were out of half of the menu so we modified our intial wants, when we probably should have just left because it only got worse! Drinks were full of syrup and sugar, food was cold, burger buns were hard, definitely not Brioche buns, & everything was salty as hell! When speaking with the manager about the undesirable food which was not eaten and sitting on the table she decided to be argumentative about everything! Even stating she tasted our fries before they were brought to use to ensure they were hot! But some home by the time they got to our table they were not hot whatsoever not to the touch or taste! The managers combative is probably what ultimately made me decide I’ll never step foot in the location again, it was nothing like my Ferndale experience! I wish I had pictures to share, it’s a 1 out of 10 stars & that’s only becomes the waiter was actually nice and tried!
It's a bar food tab for a four star meal! Absolutely will be back! We had the Chicken Parm special and the Salmon Pasta.
