My husband and I stopped in specifically because Andrew’s is a family run business and has been for more than 100 years. Our bartender shared stories about the pub that spanned generations. She also wrote up a very detailed list of where to go in the city and why! We enjoyed a few beers, wished we had room in our bellies for more perch (their specialty!) and coleslaw (perfect). We’ll definitely be back!

The owners name is Tom, he’s really a great guy. My husband and I go almost every Friday some Saturdays. The Drinks are good the Soup is Amazing don’t pass on the Tomato or Cream of Spinach. Staff is friendly and professional. It’s a home town atmosphere located in the warehouse district we give this establishment ?????

I must say that of all the places I've been to in Detroit while vacationing Andrews stood out. Excellent customer service. Jerod was on point! The food was delicious and for a reasonable price. Belle Isle ice tea was my favorite ?

The food is made with love here. We live in the area and visit at least once per week. You have so many options in Detroit but this is one of the best. Highly recommend - do yourself a favor and check out the specials and order the soup of the day.

Decided to stop here for drinks and dinner prior to the Average White Band concert. This is an old style tavern, more than 100 yrs old with indoor dining, a good size bar and small outdoor patio. We were greeted by the owner who gave us a brief history of the restaurant, a very friendly gentleman who seems to love what he does. My wife had the hamburger and fries while I tried the perch dinner with sweet potato fries. Their perch dinner was one of the best I've ever had, and I've had many! Minimally breaded and fried to perfection...sweet potato fries were delicious too. The hamburger also got a big thumbs up. A definite must try!

You know how it can go today going out to eat. Slow service, small serving sizes and more cost than you hope for. But you won't find a better restaurant, food or service than Andrews.. You will most likely meet Tom the current owner from this long time family owned restaurant in Detroit. The food quality is their pride and it shows. The Perch Fish is fresh with a fair amount and very reasonably priced. The burger was one of the best I have had in this town. Shaded afternoon outdoor seating and a classic bar and dining area in. You will be very happy you went here. If Jarod is your server you will be well taken care of. Great place to grab a meal. Especially if you also are going to take in a show at the Aretha Franklin the theater or the river front park right next to Andrews.Jack Stone

Great little bar with fantastic service and great sandwiches. Highly recommended.Great Location right next to the river walk ??

Really nice place that we discovered while walking in that area. Nice conversation with the owner and his daughter! The wings are AMAZING so is the fish n chips! See you in Quebec City Mr Owner!

We stopped in before going to Immersive Van Gogh. It was the perfect location with ample parking. Prompt friendly service but the food was a bit greasy and not exactly as stated on the menu (which was a dirty crumpled sheet of paper). I would go back for the great "old timey bar" atmosphere but would probably have dinner elsewhere.

Good food , higher prices. Most of the dine in lobby isn't opened. The bartender was extremely unattentive because she was so busy schmoozing tips from a group of regulars.. understandable but also effected my experience as a whole.
