Beautiful, atmospheric and lovely Perfectly located for the ballpark
Really cool hotel that captures old feel Detroit.Great view of the ballpark from our room. The staff , from the front desk to the bar tenders, were all very friendly and helpful.Room was a really cool corner view suite. Shower was nice with great pressure and temp.Highly recommend
Such a great location. We used valet and walked everywhere. 5 min walk to the Filmore and Fox Theater and Stadium and 15 min to GreekTown. Close to restaurants and bars too. The rooms were a good size, nothing too big, we had a king bed and the view was nice. But they were clean and the service was lovely! We paid about $400 for a Saturday night.
Stayed here for a first-time work trip, I can't remember the last time I've come across such kind staff. Each and every one of the workers at this hotel went above and beyond for me, unprompted. I genuinely felt supported and very well taken care of. The men and women at the front desk and in the lil café with the free coffee-- all amazing folks. Thank you guys!!!
I stayed at the Aloft Detroit for a 3-day work trip, my first since March 2020. I arrived at the hotel only to find that they had overbooked the hotel for the evening but had made accommodations for me at a nearby hotel and would pay for my transportation to that hotel and back. It was a quick ride up the road and while I was tired, the staff was extremely friendly and there was really nothing I could do except go to the other location. After I had returned to the hotel and got into a new room with ease, I was greeted hotel by Will at the front desk who was very knowledgeable about Detroit, understood what kind of restaurants and bars my colleagues and I were looking for, and was all around extremely kind and relatable.I was pleased to have an upgraded room and thought that was above and beyond the customer service I needed for the inconvenience from the night before but I was shocked when Will handed me a bag with a complimentary bottle of wine, and a personalized card to apologize again. And To make me feel even more in the right place, In the morning when I went to pay for my coffee, one of the young women at the front desk yelled out "Your coffee is on me, enjoy your day!" to me and another person nearby. All in all, I really appreciated the efforts of everyone I encountered at The Aloft Detroit. The location is great, the rooms are cozy and the staff knows how to make you feel at home.
I remember when I worked at the aloft downtown and they did a setup on a worker to see if they would steal stuff from one of the rooms. Some one did steal it and they called the cops on the lady who worked from us. They found out that it wasn’t her it was one of their own people and they told the cops they didn’t want to press charges decided by the green Al manager Jeremy . I bet if it is was one of our people who had stolen that they would of put her in jail. If I could go back I would of told him a coward
The staff was very friendly and attentive. Would like to send an extra thank you to Khalilah for making our stay so memorable! Beautiful ambiance in the lobby. Very clean! We were able to enjoy live entertainment in the lounge with a nice selection at the bar. Our suite had a great view of the city as well! Highly recommended this hotel.
Great location, close to lots of bars, restaurants and shops. I loved the decor and architecture, and all the staff were very friendly. The gallery is a beautiful space, with tables and chairs to meet and take in the art. The bar too is a pretty space with art, and our bartender Blair tried her hand at a Wisconsin Brandy Old Fashioned and did a pretty good job! While there is coffee and tea in the room, it was nice to have an additional place in the building to grab a morning beverage, and snack. The rooms are what I would call art deco, with vibrant colors and cozy spaces. If ever in Detroit, this is a great place to stay.
Horrible customer service! We had reservations for two rooms for January 22. I deleted those reservations through the link in confirmation email THEY sent me. Apparently that only deleted one room, not both. I did not realize this until I saw the $360 charge out of my account. I contacted Corporate. They told me 24 - 48 hours to resolve this. I called back in 3 days and was told they aren't sure why someone would tell me that, it's 3 to 5 business days. That was yesterday. I called today & was told my dispute was denied and to contact Aloft Detroit. I called and asked for a supervisor and was put through to voice mail. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Shame on Aloft Hotels!!!
Beautiful hotel, perfect location as it's near Ford field, LCA, Fox theatre and more! Easy parking + clean rooms. The staff were very sweet and welcoming- literally every staff member we talked had good energy.Joe checked us in and was very accommodating - he definitely went above and beyond. It was my birthday and he arranged a wine bottle to come up to the room with a birthday card. So kind! Thank you everyone :)
