I came here today for the first time based off of recommendations from someone at the meat market on Gratiot. I looked at the reviews before walking in and they seemed fine. The wait wasn't long. The staff was very friendly. I ordered a 15pc shrimp with fries. Everything looked fine before I walked out. You can see in the picture it looks like your average fried shrimp order.. Upon tasting it though, there was a terrible fish taste from the shrimp and the fries. Like the grease was bad or something. It was such a gross, strong taste that I had to pull over on the Lodge Freeway to throw up on the way home, and then again when I got home. I did call to let them know how bad order was. They offered to replace it or a discount for my next visit, but I declined. Not just because I stay on the other side of town, but the taste was just so absolutely horrendous, that I just don't want to try it again. I do not recommend this spot at all. ?

If I could give -10 stars I would all they do is sale old frozen fish and chicken that's been freezing for months at a time nothing here is fresh unless its a bottled or packaged item from another company such as seasonings,sauces,and batters everything else sold here has been frozen for a period of time and you'll be able to tell once you get it home this place is not apart of Eastern Market Fresh Meat District they are just Leasing a space in the area and have been doing so for years as well as selling old frozen fish and chicken Would not spend cash or food stamps here ever again
ABSOLUTLEY HORRIBLEALMOST $30.00 worth of fish fried. Got home fried in bad grease burnt sediment. Tasted terrible! We took it back and recieved a full refund!
Usually they are prompt with their services . Flavor is decent .. Always busy around lunchtime and weekends
