Simply a great Italian sandwich. I always get the 6 & 2 on hard. You select a number of meat and cheese layers and the type of bread. There are other sandwiches to get, but I’ve never strayed from my normal order. The staff is friendly and they always put a smily face on the sandwich wrapper. V Gonella’s is a regular stop for me when I’m in Dearborn.
I would normally give this establishment a 5 rating as they make excellent sandwiches. However they do not have set hours which can get very frustrating when you show up at 2 in the afternoon expecting to get a submarine sandwich only to find them closed. Their new strategy is to stay open as long as they have enough rolls for the sandwiches once they run out of rolls they are closed this can happen as early as 1:30 or earlier in fact. I cannot understand why they are throwing away business when most businesses are struggling. They are very lucky to be so close to Ford which keeps them very busy. So I highly recommend their sandwiches but I suggest you get there very early if you'd like to enjoy one of them. Maybe if they see enough comments they will come up with regular hours and leave the frustration behind for their clients.
Love the sandwiches but can never get them. Wondering if there is updated hrs? I’ve tried to go there last two days and they were closed by 330 :(
I would drive from Howell to get one of their Subs . I have to buy two or 3 definitely Delicious ?

Turkey sandwich is good I ordered a steak and cheese for the first time it was roast beef in a pan and then they threw it on the sub one so I don't advise getting the steak and cheese, the cold sandwiches are good
The 6 and 2 was amazing! Got mine with banana peppers and a smile. Would recommend and I will be back.
Chicken salad not so good to Chucky Not like I used to remember.
