Last year in 2021 summer, I went to this bakery. Dearborn is a great place to visit, I even went to see the Henry Ford factory and museum. It was so fun. This bakery I heard good things and being arab I wanted some good knafa and other sweets. The knafa was sooooooo dry, and the conoloies crust was way to airy and thin, and the cream inside was way to light. I got normal and pistachio conolies, both equally way to light and flavorless. I also got some other pasteries like cake. I visited with family. I didn't enjoy anything from here, it tasted like everything was left outside for hours upon hours. Even the ice cream was nothing to write home about. I don't know if we came in on an off day, but it was packed when I got there, and it was nasty. The sitting ans decor inside was very cozy and stunning though. It's a cool place to visit, but just watch what you order.
Shatila is a great bakery with excellent food and coffee. It's chaotic and confusing if you've never been here before so you just have to jump in and get someone to help you. Overall, it was a good experience. Now that we're more familiar with the chaos and how to order, we'll visit again.
Came to this Location from Chicago again and it is still the same great bakery I remember. Ahmad is always happy and taking care of customers as if it was his own family. We arrived after hours and he decided to reward us with free sweets for being consistent. Thank you Ahmad. You make the experience so much better, looking forward to seeing you soon.
One of my friends recommended I visit Shatila's Bakery for their famous pistachio ice-cream, while in Detroit. And let's just that the pistachio ice-cream did not disappoint and was definitely well worth going to have. The ice-cream is super creamy and filled with tons of pistachio pieces. I've eaten my fair share of pistachio ice-cream all over the world, and the one from Shatila's is one of the best!Shatila's also offers a wide range of Arab desserts and decadent cakes, as well as other flavours of ice-creams, hot drinks and juices/smoothies.They have indoor and outdoor seating and the shop itself is quite pretty. Prices are fair and the ice-cream scoop is a nice and big.
Pasty is so good and their cakes are delicious. Stuff is very nice they give you freebies when u buy allot and let you taste it before buying it. The only concern I have is the front savage need to be clean cause their a bird nest. Everything els is awesome experience to visit from hawaii and get this awesome Mediterranean pastries.
Great place to have Middle Eastern desserts? ???? ? If you're in the mood to eat some different sweets and treats, should definitely try out the place! Won't recommend their Smoothies & Shakes they're ok, same with mango ice-cream (no mango in it). Rest was good!
I visited this place many years ago, and it was very delicious. I visited again last week, and it didn't disappoint. The baklava is fantastic, the kunafa is something else, and their ice cream is alao very good. I have ordered from them online before, and it arrives in a couple days. It has also it has a nice seating area, and the peices are good too. This is my favorite sweets shop in the US.
If you are in Detroit, this is a must visit bakery. Their pastries are awesome. Baklava is one of the best in town. There is always a wait to get your order in. So plan ahead. Staff are pleasant, but not everyone can communicate in English.
Shatila’s has the BEST fresh juice I’ve ever had. Also, their wide variety of ice cream and pastries were amazing! Ahmad Aoun and the team took great care of us. We will definitely be making a return trip here.
We live getting the large pastry box. I like to pick my own selection. It is now $34. They are authentic. The pastries and cakes here are beautiful. We do not eat in. We have been coming here for decades, even before they moved here from Schaefer. They are located on Warren just past schaefer going west. We will come again.
