The last time I had this the chicken was unforgivably chewy. I want very much to be impressed but it always falls short. I've had the seafood I've had the vegan... please just try and improve the overall standard.
We walked in ay 5:30 on. Thursday and there was no one there. We were seated immediately. The food arrived and was delicious. Our server was very good. The seafood was very fresh and the veggies cooked just right. I am surprised there arent tons of people coming here. Prices comparable to other Chinese restaurants. We were very pleased. The building is older but clean.
We've dined in twice in the past 4 weeks. This is a fantastic Chinese restaurant. Almost anything on the menu that is made with meat can also be made with vegan substitute. I love going to a place with this many options on the menu. Service is fast and friendly. It's not fancy, not in the best neighborhood but not unsafe. We had soup for two, three entrees we shared and tea for $36.00, and there was enough left over for a couple of dinners for the week. We will be regulars!

I really enjoyed my first visit to Red Star. The hostess helped us with any questions we had about the menu. The food came quickly and was hot. One of us ordered Kung Pao Shrimp, which is marked as spicy on the menu. I don’t usually eat spicy food but I liked the amount of heat it had. I did think the orange chicken and Sweet and Sour chicken were a little on the sweet side, but still good. I really enjoyed the lo mein, but I always do. Lol I will definetly be back with my friends especially when I am craving Lo mein.
