If you have a chance in your lifetime you need to go!

As a history major & buff, I decided to try this place for my 35th. birthday & I was thoroughly impressed w/ the ambiance that was like walking through a time portal & even more amazed by the delicious fish recipe from the mid-19th. century. Some of the best fish I have ever had!

Love going here for mostly the ambience. However, they do have a very limited main choice for vegeterians. Visit here once couple of years is sufficient and enjoyable. Rest of the time, prefer to eat outside the village after the visit. Also, if you are a member do not forget to ask for the discount. They will not ask if you are one.

Just thrilled that they had gluten free options for a meal (salad) & snack, including sweet or salty.

What a great way to step back in time. The food is amazing, so fresh.Pampered by the servers.Fried green tomatoes OMG...

It was delicious and server was very well versed in the history surrounding the tavern and what life would have been like.

Had an awesome experience (1st time) at the Eagle Tavern at The Greenfield Village. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and was so pleased. Stacey took great care of us and all the food was delicious [Trout & Pork]. The ambience was a bonus as well. We look forward to returning soon.

Great food! Amazing atmosphere & staff!

It was such a good experience to see something so authentic like this! I really love the Trout dish that I got it really felt like I was eating in a restaurant from 1850! Prices are very high but it's worth the experience!

We were tired and hungry. We asked several people for dining suggestions and were told this was the best restaurant in the village. The place is dressed out like a Colonial tavern. Waitstaff are dressed in period costumes. The food choices were limited to comfort type offerings. We had the pot roast. There was plenty of very filling, average and pricy food. One person in our group ordered the meat and cheese plate and liked the cheese but, not the cured meats. We really enjoyed the ac. on a hot and muggy afternoon. This was a good spot to chill out.
