The last 2 orders I've placed here have been wrong, and strangely enough it's been the same exact mistake. Ordered two totally different dishes, got general tao chicken. Once? Ok that happens and I'll live with it, two times in a row one of my items gets replaced with general tao? Now I think you're doing it on purpose or just not even listening to my order. Really frustrating, definitely won't be back here again.
The food is very good and I know they are short staffed, but this is the second time in a month I called in an order of almond chicken. The lady who took my order said she understood what I wanted.(cause this happened before) when I arrived at the restaurant, my order was double the price cause they charged me forsesame chicken too. ??
I was very disappointed with the food that I ordered this evening. This restaurant sure has gone down hill over the years. I ordered the pepper steak and there was so many onions and barely any meat! My daughter got chicken lol mein and it was so oily and no flavor! The only good part of the dinner was the egg roll. Smh. Neither of us finished our food and it's going in the garbage. For $30 for 2 dinners and walking away hungry. Never will we eat here again.
Best sesame chicken in michigan
We ate inside today , was surprised they had dine in service. Both of our lunch combos were great . Excellent Won Ton soup , about the best I’ve ever had . My Gai Kow and her Chicken with Cashews were very good , plenty of chicken and vegetables , the fried rice was tasty and moist and the egg rolls were also very good . Our waitress was efficient and friendly . The only thing not perfect was the lunch combo prices , they use to be around 8.99 last year , today they are 12.99
I have been coming to Ping On for at least a decade. Best in town! The food is always hot and fresh, I don't care how long the wait may be-always worth it. The portion sizes are huge! The sesame chicken meal will be three servings of food, the chicken is still crispy even with the sauce on it. The wonton soup has the best flavor, the broth is so flavorful, there is definitely a more noodle to filling ratio. The rice is always perfectly cooked. I know it may sound strange, but even my cats love the white rice, they see us come in with the take out bags and can't wait for rice!
Now I know why I stopped going here. I ordered pepper steak with an extra side of the brown gravy/sauce. Got home .... don't know what that stuff was they gave me in the bowl. Look and tasted horrible. The meat in the pepper steak had a lot of gristle and spit quite a bit of it out. I'll stick to my go to place, New Great Wall from now on and drive the couple extra miles.....
Great food here. Im just over a mile away and the dine in and carryout is great.
I recently had my first experience with Ping On, and I must say; I most certainly would go again. The food was amazing. We had their dinner for two which includes almond chicken, fried rice, and a sezsuan beer. We also got an order of their sesame chicken. I thought that the almond chicken was great. But I was a big fan of the sesame chicken. I found it to be super flavorful and crisp while being coated in the sticky sauce. We also had plenty of food for our family of four. The staff was polite over the phone and at the time of the pickup. Definitely going back for this one.
This has been our go to Chinese for over 10 years. The last four times we have ordered (since October 2021), we have noticed a decline in taste and quality. Our favorites have been ABC and sesame chicken. I am glad to see recent reviews that others are still satisfied, but as of now, we are looking for new recommendations.
