April 2022 - wife and I came here for a date night. I ordered the jambalaya and my wife ordered the shrimp and grits. Both were very good. They had a small band playing. They were good to hear while we talked. Good place to come. One of our favorite places. They also do catering and they have a bar with a couple of tv's from what I could see.
I absolutely love coming to J Baldwins! Every time I come here, I order the Lamb Chop Dinner (Medium Well) and I'm never disappointed. If you plan on coming by yourself, I would recommend sitting at the bar they have an excellent selection of liquor and you can still order from the regular menu.
This is one of our favorite places! The bartenders are outstanding! Jon, Maria, Blaine, Alyssa, Erica are all amazing! The Chefs are amazing! The servers are professional. Management is always accommodating. I can’t say enough good things other than you should definitely try this restaurant! Sorry if I left anyone out.
First time here. Made a reservation, got seated quickly. The server was great. Nice atmosphere. The food was good. Came.out fast. We forgot our leftovers. Went back to get them but they had already been thrown out. The manager offered to have the cooks make us a whole new dish. We didn't take the Manager up on the offer, but that's some great customer service to me.
Excellent service from the time we walked in the door. The food was delicious! We will definitely be back.
Amazing food and drinks! Food was cooked to perfection (Scallops, calamari, broccoli). Absolutely recommend dining here for a special occasion or date night. Kids also make they're own pizza and dessert if your dining with a family.
I sat with dear friends at the bar. The atmosphere is classy eclectic!! The bar staff was engaging and friendly and really know how to mix a drink. The menu goes from trendy appetizers to very sophisticated entrees. I had shrimp tacos that were fantastic to the palate. I will definitely be back. This was a wonderful way to celebrate the start of the holiday season!
I have been to J. Baldwins on several occasions, and each time I was pleased. They don't have a huge menu, but it is decent sized and every item I have tried has been excellent. Their Lamb, Salmon, and Duck were all excellently prepared, and the service is nearly always very good, even when they are quite busy.
It was a crazed night two days before Christmas, 2021 and, predictably, the restaurant was slammed.With all this talk about labor shortages in the food industry - well, we (there were four of us) didn't expect a lot. But, my goodness, we certainly got a lot. The service, from the greeters and seaters to an experienced, knowledgeable and cheerful waiter, was flawless.The kitchen didn't miss a beat either. From appetizers, to entrees, to desserts, the plates were attractive, the food was at the right temperature, it was served on time and it was delicious.Kudos to J. Baldwin's for creating a great dining experience on a really challenging night.
