I went on Sunday morning and had breakfast with my father and my sister. Can’t say that I was impressed the food was good but for that price it wasn’t really worth it. Also it’s really strange to me that this is the only place in this area that charges for refills on drinks… also I had requested for a diet drink and it came out tasting as sweet as real pop could ever be or it’s pretty much was syrup. My sister ordered Sprite and it was purely just syrup in a cup ? The lady with the white hair that was younger than the lady that brought us out our pop was really attentive and great server. Service was good but again wasn’t that impressed by our food my dad enjoyed a Monte Cristo but that was the Greasiest-looking sandwich I’ve ever seen and I don’t understand why it was open faced on a plate. ?
I visited here for the first time today. I ordered one of their breakfast specials - Deuces Wild, which is two eggs, two slices of bacon, two links of sausage, and two pancakes. My fiancé ordered an omelet with extra crispy hashbrowns. Unfortunately, I ordered Diet Pepsi for my drink instead of coffee, because I wasn't sure if I was going to order breakfast or lunch when the server came by for our drink order. The fountain Diet Pepsi was too sweet. Next time that I go there for breakfast, I will order coffeeService is fast, the servers are friendly, and the orders were correct. Portions are generous, so there were leftovers to take home. Food was flavorful and prepared exactly as ordered. Bacon was crisp; sausage was well-seasoned; pancakes were large and fluffy. The prices are consistent with other local restaurants, with better food, so it was a very good value to me.The dining room was clean, bright and well-maintained. My only criticism of the dining area is that the booth seats are too far from the tables for me to eat comfortably.This place is a great find, overall. I will definitely return here. I am anxious to try their lunch and dinner and homemade soups.
Just beware they will try to serve you outdated food all the while upselling you on prices. Everything you add is upcharged. For a family restaurant, it isn't worth it. Go somehwhere better.
Service was absolutely phenomenal, extremely attentive, paid attention, the sweetest women I have ever met. The food was SERIOUSLY AMAZING!!!!! Corned beef, stir fry, the fries are cooked to perfection, everything here was amazing and it’s sooo cute inside!!!!!(with good music too) absolutely amazing, will be coming back and bringing friends. Hometown crepes are literally THE BEST in Macomb County! Home style chicken strips are delicious too. They have at least 9 soups daily. All you can eat soup dine-in is $12.95 and you can eat any of the soups available ?
I've been coming here every other day for the last few weeks and I just love this place.
This place is awesome. I came here for breakfast with my dad and everyone was super friendly and helpful. He wasn’t sure what burger he wanted and Terra our waitress was beyond helpful. My dad is amazing so I appreciate seeing people go out of their way to be kind to him. Thank you Terra and hometown grill!
Love this place. I’m a breakfast guy, and I habitually get the Country omelette with that sausage gravy. For lunch I recommend the Cherry Pecan Chicken Salad pita, but we get it as a wrap. Also, do yourself a favor and try the fries. There’s a crispiness that reminds me of Checkers fries, but larger cuts that make them so much better. Five Stars.
We've lived around the corner from here for 3 years and tried it for the 1st time tonight and let me tell you it was not a pleasant experience. The wait staff was fine but the manager not so much. We found hair in our salads on the cucumbers so of course we sent them back only to once again find hair on the cucumbers. We notified the Manager of this and she just shrugged us off and said there's no way that happened because they changed the salads but it looks like they just flipped the cucumbers over. Then with no apology she abruptly just walks away. 1st impressions mean a lot and I will NEVER give them my business again.
