You can go to so many ice cream places and not find non-fruity dairy free ice cream, let alone that being soft serve. Frosty Joey of Clinton has dairy free soft serve vanilla ice cream! Dairy free and don't like fruity? You know where to go :)

I live very close to this shop but would rather drive the next town over to get ice cream and I’d advise others to do the same. I’ve really tried to give them a fair shake and have visited a few times because I want to support local businesses but their ice cream is mediocre and most days the service is subpar. During my most recent trip, I noticed the girl behind the counter was making my flurry with vanilla ice cream when I had requested chocolate so I kindly asked the other lady working to remind her, which she did. Later on while at home I was disappointed to learn that she had not remade the flurry but just put chocolate ice cream with a scoop of toppings over the top, leaving the rest of the cup filled with plain vanilla ice cream. I rarely write reviews but I felt this needed to be said as a warning to others. Drive the few extra miles to spotted cow for quality ice cream and money well spent.
Drove from Elkhart, IN to Plymouth, MI via US-12 on a Sunday afternoon and passed through so many small towns along the way. Each one had their own old fashioned ice cream stand. Frosty Joey's was just what you would hope for. Friendly service, tasty ice cream and slushes. The french fries were super tasty too. Service was just a tad slow but they were pretty busy.Okay Frosty Joey's there is nothing I like more than a responsive business owner so guess what? I am going to make that a 5 star review! Best of luck finding some new hires - its tough to find help right now.
