I had high hopes based on the reviews and was super excited to try them out. They were friendly and the portions are decent, but this is probably the worst Chinese takeout I've had. I'm convinced its just a frozen entree the Meijer freezer section that they added more salt to. I'm not sure if it was a really bad off day, but I'm not going to risk it again. In addition to that, I don't like hearing about politics and when I get take out, I don't expect to be bothered with political statements...they definitely publicize their political beliefs here.
I've been going there for years. Love the cashew chicken and general Tso's chicken. Great yeast rolls too. Always been friendly to me. Very reasonable prices. 5 stars!
Best Chinese food around, generous portions and very nice people.
Such great food we love the sesame chicken fried rice egg rolls pepper steak and the wonton soup. We have been ordering at least once a month since moving to Clinton township over 9 years ago.
Always friendly staff and very tasty Chinese food. The crab Rangoon is a must try.
Great Place! Never disappointed on my food. They're a great family run restaurant.
First Wok is the best. Let’s start with the food. All orders are prepared fresh and made to order. The ingredients are better than they should be. The Food is also prepared quickly, faster than its quality would have you believe. It also tastes great, all of their chicken meals are great and their fried rice is very tasty. Best General Tso’s I’ve ever had.Their output is astounding: longest wait I ever had was 45 minutes and they apologized for it. That takes me to the next thing: the staff. The staff Are so friendly and have been for years. If you’re a regular they treat you well, better then how other places treat their regulars. There is no better place for Chinese food. If there was a Platonic Form of Chinese Food, 1st Wok is the place to get it.
Really good almond boneless chicken, juicy and tender and not dry at all, but the sauce is that fruit stuff not the traditional savory brown gravy - I am not a fan of the fruity almond chicken sauce, if I wanted a sweet sauce on the chicken I would just get sweet and sour, orange chicken, lemon chicken, honey chicken, etc.Generous portions of everything including the sweet and sour chicken which was good size pieces of white meat chicken battered until crispy. The dinner rolls are big and soft and not burned or dry at all like a lot of other places. My husband felt like the green bell peppers dominated the flavor of the mongolian shrimp and wouldn't get that again but he liked the hot and sour soup. The fried rice is fine but the egg rolls weren't very flavorful and were kind of dry. The almond cookies are crumbly and don't taste of almond at all just sugar which was a little disappointing. The portions are generous and all the food is hot and cooked quickly and prices are fair.
I've been coming to this place for 10+ years and I have never had a bad meal here. Portions are huge for the price. Staff is super friendly. Hands down best chinese around I cant find another place that compares to here
I stopped here for the first time a month ago and had the Almond Boneless Chicken and it was superb. This time I had the Kung Pao chicken and it was just as good but a little spicier because that's how I asked for it!! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ?
