WOW! I was not really sure about when my hubby wanted to go. He’s been up here working and could t stop talking about. I’m amazed at how delicious the food was. The staff was very friendly and even educated me some on the culture and food. The Garlic Nan bread was outta this world. We got some type of chicken wrap that was delicious and then the butter chicken with spice level medium. We still have enough for 2-3 more meals. I’m from out of town/state and have never had Indian cuisine and I’ll definitely come back before I leave. My husband comes 2-3 times a week.
Nice place to have Indian food. We ordered Chole-Bhature, chole was okay, bhatures were good! Staff was polite.
I was very excited to order from this restaurant based upon their menu choices. The samosas were very good, the chicken biryani not so much. First this was not even biryani, none of the traditional spices were used and it basically tasted like chicken with some spices I didn’t recognize. That brings me to the chicken…yes it was boneless but it had a very bad aftertaste and was probably thigh or possibly the back of the chicken. I took a a couple of bites and had to call it quits.
Me and my wife went to this restaurant first time, we order samosa chat & malai kofta. It's new venture so it's OK, but need to improve quality as well as taste. They should change light bulb. Should be LED.Also need to be replace black plate to white.Samosa chat was too dry,it should be juicy. Malai Kofta was not soft,Any way the quantity was good according to the price.Garlic Nan was very good. I love it.
I had ordered Gobi Manchurian and Veg LunchOverall I would rate the two on following scaleQuality:- 4/5Portion:- 5/5Taste:- 4/5Packaging- 5/5I liked the food, the lunch had Dal, Rice, Paneer sabji and Jalebi which was pretty good for the price I paid, the packaging was also very sturdy which ensured food was intact. I would be definitely trying more dishes from this place in future
This my second time here. I had dal makhani and a tandoori roti yesterday. The dal makhani was probably one of the best among all the restaurants I have tried nationwide. Front desk service was superb. Considering Indian food takes more time to prepare they were super prompt. Today I got their lunch box and pakora. Pakoras tasted fantastic and they give a good quantity. In the lunch box they give a good amount of food including a huge naan. I will be a repeat customer for sure.
Food quality was disappointing. Ordered dal makhani, baingan bharta, gajar halwa and the bread basket. The dal makhani looked different from usual but tasted fine. Bhaingan bharta tasted off and probably was not freshly made. The gajar halwa was sold when it was already spoilt. In the bread basket garlic naan was good but the paneer naan barely had any filling. The owners did agree for a free purchase for the spoilt food but was not comfortable with another food purchase
Chicken biryani was like rice added to lot of heat and spice. Chicken was cold and rubbery.Ps: I used to like this place when it was Vegeta only and called urban tawa. Was excited when it reopened with the new name but now I wish it stayed closed. Hate wasting food money and time. The one star is for the rasmalai.
This is my goto place in Canton for Indian food. The chole bhature here is my all time favorite, but is a hit and miss for the bhature which tend to be extremely oily sometimes. But still, everything else on the menu has good quantity and consistent taste everytime we order and are never disappointed.
The food here is delicious and the quality is always great. They give generous portions too. Definitely one of the best Indian food places in the Canton area! The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
