Mannnnn we had a great time at this restaurant. I got the Strawberry Watermelon Margarita (wasn’t strong, I didn’t taste any liquor). Husband got the wild Berry margarita. The crunchy and thick chips are made in the back - PERFECTION.I ordered the combo platter. The Combo dinner with 2 beef tacos, (I swapped the enchilada) for a chicken taco, bean and cheese tostada, and pork tamale. 2 Beef and 1 Chicken enchiladas (dinner portion)
Excellent Mexican food. It is usually busy, so plan ahead. The key about this restaurant is they are very consistent with the quality of food. I understand food prices have gone up, but we no longer will go to the restaurant because how much it costs per person. The last time which was actually 2 years ago (I would hate to see the prices now), carry out for 2 meals and chips ended up to be $37 (I believe). Call me cheap, but just a few years ago for the same place and same meal, but sit down (we got 2 pepsi's also) it was around $25. To me that is a huge increase, plus carry out we never got the drinks. Overall this is excellent food and the service is usually very good (we have had some slow service, but overall the service is very good). I do not know if they changed it, but FYI, previously if you got a second basket of chips, they would charge you a fee. That is crazy. If you enjoy Mexican food, you will LOVE this place. Just bring your wallet. :)
For a non-traditional entree, the Tender Cactus is awesome. Specify: no green peppers.
Food was great. The salsa was the best! Love the hot salsa!
Greeted immediately. Sat at a clean table. Watched as the utility man cleaned another table - with sanitizer ! Amanda stopped by to say Hi.Golden Margarita on the rocks!Warm and fresh chips!A whole carafe of salsa !Water, no ice!Small combo platter, just enough for dinner!Awesome! Delicious! Perfect!
Good food, quick service. They mainly serve lager beer here, would have been nice to have more selection. The portion size is good, more food than I could eat. It wasn't very busy, which was surprising for a Saturday afternoon.
A must on your dining list! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, awesome food and the establishment is well kept! I definitely recommend the Chicken Mole! Everything is very authentic and the portions are generous.
Honestly worst experience I’ve ever had. I always go to the one in dearborn heights but I figured I’d give this one a try. We waited at our table to be served for 10 minutes. When our food came out is was so nasty. Everything looked like it came from a can. My friend hated her meal so we ordered queso instead. The queso came out and looked like cheese dip from Kroger. It tasted like Mac and cheese sauce, and not the good kind. When we went to pay the queso was 7$. For 7$ I could’ve bought the whole jar of what I was served. Not to mention there was a hair in my food, when I tried speaking to my waitress about it she walked away. We left the money on the table and left. worst Mexican food I’ve ever had, Taco Bell tastes better.
The entrees were delicious, hot fresh and seasoned well. Our server was great despite the staging shortage the restaurant is currently. The guacamole left a lot to desire. It didn't have any taste nor have any other ingredients such as tomatoes added to it. The margaritas were weak. Other than that everything was fine. I'll stick to the entrees and skip the extras.
The store gave us the completely wrong order. We tried to call and no one answered. After we finally got ahold of them, we were told “sorry were 3 people short and can’t deal with this right now. You can put in a new order if you want, but will have to pay.” This is somewhere my family and I have ate at for a long time, but will never order from again. Would recommend elsewhere.
