The food was edible but not delicious. We ordered takeout, our first Chinese experience since moving to Canton. We ordered pan fried dumplings, crab Rangoon, an egg roll, orange chicken, chicken fried rice, and Mongolian chicken. The crab Rangoon and Mongolian chicken were hands down the best of the bunch. The orange chicken was dry and crunchy and the flavor was oddly bitter. The dumplings had a sting cinnamon flavor and were saturated in oil. Chicken fried rice was fine but nothing special. We will try to find out go to Chinese takeout elsewhere.
Best Chinese Food in Canton. Dine in and takeout options. Online ordering. Large portions.
Trying it for the first time I called in a carryout gives me a Completely different price) from when I payed for it . The egg roll tasted like a freezer burnt. Rice no taste at all Sesame chicken ??
Absolutely ghastly. It’s beyond me how or why anyone would find the quality of food acceptable. The reviews are misleading, as I was mislead. I can understand select dishes could be better but I did get to sample at least 6 items from the menu so that counts for something.I ordered the set dinner for 4. General Tso’s chicken was way too sweet for anyones taste I’m pretty sure. Almond chicken, though a decent portion was just bland and chewy. The coating was soggy, like mush and just bland. Accompanying gravy was unpalatable. The same issue with the sweet and sour chicken and the wontons in the soup. The batter is floury and just gnarly. Very standard fried rice and rolls. The saving grace was the onion and pepper beef steak and probably the only thing that justifies the two stars.Bottom line: The food is plain bad and won’t be going here again.
Will stay away from this place. Ordered shrimp fried rice and broccoli chicken yesterday and having a severe stomach pain. Worst experience
Since I got Ruby Tuesday for dinner and our son got Culver's for dinner, the hubby got China House for dinner.I walked into place the order. It was a small order and their pricing is fantastic. I was promised 10 minutes and maybe it was 11 minutes but it was super quick and the husband said it was completely delicious. He got one egg roll, and order of pan fried dumplings, and he wanted chicken fried rice but he wanted it curried.A note on the pan fried dumplings: a lot of restaurants have a thinner skin on their dumplings. Think about gyoza or mandu. He likes a thicker skin dumpling and China House offers that.Ordering curried fried rice was a little tricky because it's not on the menu but I explained what he wanted and they were happy to make it for him.
VERY good! We are new to the area and tried a couple of other Chinese cuisine options, and this is by far our favorite. Online menu and ordering was very easy, and it was ready in 10 minutes. I got the szechuan triple and my wife got the general tso chicken. Absolutely fantastic all around!
The chow mein was amazing, fried rice was disappointing and so were the dumplings. Some of the items felt not cooked all the way, but overall was good!
If I could give zero I would. This is the business plan , buy the cheapest vegetable (celery) and load up every dish with it. Disgusting food. I guess you can open any restaurant in Canton and make money. It would be like me moving to China and opening the worst hamburger stand and expect to stay in business. Seriously horrible food. Sorry.
This is the best Chinese in canton. Everything is fresh.
