Don’t come here if you want a waffle cone or bowl. They don’t make any, and the manager is terribly rude. Terrible customer service.

What an arrogant guy who own it, hopefully he reads the negative reviews about himself and hires someone to replace him. Love carvel but not that much to support people like that .

The cake was very good. But the staff member was very rude in his attempt to explain the company's covid protocol."I was standing next to my brother whilst both of us were wearing masks, discussing the cake we were going to buy".

Gary the owner went above and beyond to help design AND hand-deliver a cake to one of my best friends. I currently live in northern Michigan and I have a friend in Canton whose birthday was this week. I wanted to surprise my friend with a birthday treat so I called Carvel and explained my situation to Gary. He truly went above and beyond to not only help me design a beautiful cake with chocolate chip cookie ice cream treats (my friend's favorite), but kindly delivered the cake to my friend's house when I mentioned we had a short window of time during the day to do so. He also added two extra ice cream cookies to the cake at no additional charge because "They made it look even more beautiful, so I couldn't not do that". My friend was not only surprised but said it was the best ice cream cake and cookies ever. If you get to Carvel, ask for Gary. He will provide the best service ever with an end-product that's amazing!

Unbelievably rude. Took my daughter here for the first time tonight and when I opened the door I was commanded not to enter unless my 2 year old and I were wearing masks (I dont particularly care about being asked to wear a mask but don't shout at me and my 2 year old beforeI set foot in your store). With the plethora of ice cream shops around I dont mind going somewhere with proper customer service, but since I live close I hoped that it would be a enjoyable experience for my daughter. Recommend never coming here, if they treat potential customers like this how well do they take care of the shop or their product (can't speak from experience since I was t allowed inside but I can imagine).

Hours say they are open until 10pm. I just needed to buy a premise cake for my sons birthday. Arrived at 9:10. Doors locked with a lobby full of teens having a great time.Awesome!

First off, we had called yesterday (Saturday) to verify the hours for sunday and to make sure that they would have the peppermint dasher. We were told that they would be open 12 to 9. and that they had PLENTY of the ingredients for the peppermint dasher and would have plenty on sunday too, While we didn't think they would be open to 10 like the website claimed, we planned on being there by 12 to make sure in case they close early. we get there and there's a sign that says open at 2:00. we had CALLED to verify and nobody said anything about opening later, they said 12:00. we drive a LONG way to get there. so it wasn't like we could go back home and come back. so we went around to the stores to try to kill the 2 hours of time then got back there at 2. we get in there and see that it's the guy this time, we like going there when it's the girls cause they always do a awesome job and are much nicer to talk to. the last time we had the guy had been during Hocus Pocus Shakes and i don't know = what he had done or how he had made it but we got really sick from them. but when we got the girl for it she had done and awesome job and it had tasted great. but we like to give second chances so we ordered the peppermint dasher. he pulled out the tray and it's got like maybe teaspoon sizes along the bottom of the tray, basically looking like it was at the point where it should be getting switched out for a new one. we questioned it cause nobody likes seeing their ice cream getting 'scraped' off the bottom of the container, that's just laziness if you're literally scraping off every drop/piece of it from the bottom instead of changing it out to a new one.. he told us that they make it in small batches cause it keeps it fresher and that if there's less left it just means that it's popular and not been sitting, it's NOT fresh when you're scraping off pieces of it from the bottom of a container that was obviously left over and sitting from the day before, there is NO way that was from today and used that fast when they had only been open 5 minutes. not even counting the fact he was like 'oh there might be enough left for maybe 2 small ones.' not from what we saw, so we just ordered 1 small one even though it didn't look good and had that rubbery looking color ice cream gets when it's been sitting. we had both intended to get larges, so we settled on just the 1 small one because we had drove over an hour just for it. so instead of being able to get the peppermint dasher i was going to order the mint chocolate chip dasher, but once again that would also be getting 'scraped' from the bottom of the container obviously another 'left over from saturday'. so i ordered a large brown dasher and he 'checked' the status of the brownies' and that was a few tiny pieces remianing so there was enough for that. so THEN i decided on an oreo dasher instead think that would be my safest choice and there would be NO WAY that that one should be out of ingredients since i saw the entire jar of oreo pieces, only to found out 'oh we don't do soft serve on sundays' WHAAAAAT?!?!?!?!?! since when?! we've been there before on a sunday had soft serve. And since when does an ice cream joint not serve soft serve just cause it's a sunday. so i said forget it and we just got the 1 small peppermint dasher since everything i had tried to order was OUT. and to make matters worse, i tried a taste of her peppermint dasher and it was TERRIBLE, the ice cream had that 'old' taste that it gets from sitting and most likely because it was scraped off the bottom of the container. and usually if the person is really good they can use the other ingredients to mask that taste, but nope, sorry but this dude sucks at it big time. at that point i was actually glad i hadn't tried to get a 'scraped off' dasher myself cause it was so bad there was no way i could eat it. she took a taste and nope, she couldn't do

Their hocus pocus shakes are to die for

I asked if a 3 year old could try the cotton candy. The owner said well it tasted just like cotton candy. Um yeah thanks I’m pretty sure I know that. I wanted her to taste it to make sure it’s what she wanted. Thanks though. ???

I use to rave about this place. I loved coming here and I have been going here for years! The place is family run (or use to be, unsure) and the owner was extremely welcoming. This place has continued to go down hill. This has not been a one time occurrence, but rather 5-6 times. I continued to try to give this place the benefit of the doubt because I loved coming here. I am unsure how you can call yourself an ice cream place when you do not have any type of ice cream left, not even the basic flavors of vanilla and chocolate in soft serve or regular ice cream. On top of that, to continue to promote the dashers that you cannot make. It’s extremely discouraging to not be able to provide your customers anything besides flavors that clearly no one gets as they sit there full and everything else is empty. Unfortunately, this place has lost mine and my families business for good. I expected more and it is extremely disappointing.
