Pros:*The food was delish! We had the shrimp, steak and sausage! And the artichoke dip appetizer was amazing! The best I've had!*Drinks good*Enjoyed the rock cooking experience.Cons:* Need better ventilation, the smoke eventually was getting to me.* The Floor is super slippery from the cooking, almost slipped and fell, and I watched others slipping on the floor,( I experienced none of these issues at the location in Novi.)* THE WORST ONE FOR ME WAS THE GNATS!! We spent more time swatting the gnats away and that really made me want to leave, just the thought of them landing on my food.* If you are a manager reading this, please fix this, We spent a good amount of money there and should not have had to fight gnats.
Going here is about the whole experience. It’s not a place I’ll want to go on a regular. My drink wasn’t really strong and it was a drink off their menu made with Hennessy. The dip was good but the pita chips were delicious. Pickle chips were ok I’m picky on those. The lobster bisque was good. The chicken tortilla soup was awesome. My steak was small we went for the surf and turf deal.
Amazing food! I love coming to Black Rock when I am near one because I know the quality of food is top notch. There are excellent portions and if you don't want so much, share with a friend in your party. Didn't have room for dessert but will definitely make a trip for that as well.
First time coming here. Didn’t like the whole “cook yourself “ the steak didn’t really have flavor and was tough. Don’t think I will return. But on the plus side. Never had breaded ribs before and that was awesome. They were really good. The house salad was good as well as the mash potatoes. Came here with a friend and our wait for just drinks was about 15 minutes. Food took a while to come out.
OMG! I have never had an experience like this I’m literally speechless if your here in Michigan you have to come try this place, wonderful staff and atmosphere! Now the food… it is above next level fantastic from the juices to the overwhelming smell of seasonings and taste is out of this world so many explosions of flavor I would highly suggest you stop by! ?
This was our first time at Black Rock Bar & Grill. We came because of a promotion we found on Facebook. Buy one, get one, 12oz sirloin steak! That seemed like a great deal!The place was busy, which is always great to see! We put our names in the queue and were told there was a 30-minute wait, not too bad! So we went to the bar and found a couple of seats.The bartender was busy, but she was attentive. After supplying us with a drink menu, my wife ordered a martini, and I got a draught beer. Both were good, but the martini was not what she was looking for. I ordered a second beer and my wife a different cocktail. Moments later, a text message told us that our table was ready.The service was terrible, and my French onion soup had no onions in it!The bottom line is that the next time we want to go out for steaks, we’ll go elsewhere.
Walked in on a Tuesday at 4pm and was seated. Jazmyn was our waitress and was very knowledgeable on food and drinks. Our service was awesome and they have great happy hour specials. Forgot to take pic of dinner but it was delicious ?. Will be returning
We were celebrating our sons admittance into medical school. This was so disappointing! The food took forever and everybody got their food before we did, even those that came in after us. Our fries were cold when the food came after waiting for over an hour and the rocks were not even hot. The shrimp and the sausage never cooked! Every other table had smoke coming off of their stones and ours never sizzled. We finally left the restaurant after 3 hours. They did nothing to compensate even though our wait was ridiculous! We will not be returning. I am sad that our celebration was not a celebration and we paid a lot of money for very disappointing food.
Arrived at 4:30, ordered happy hour beer and dinner, the beer arrived at 4:38, salads shortly after, and dinner arrived at 5:00. The funny thing was I took photos of the beer and dinner, which showed the time. At 5:25 our check arrived, and we were charged regular beer prices. We questioned the server, she said you ordered after 5. Asked to speak to a manager, she said happy hour ends at 5:00… ok pulled out the photo with time on it. She blatantly refused to correct the error. After a long discussion, she took 10% off our check. Needless to say our celebratory dinner was ruined. It’s poor business practice to advertise happy hour then not honor it! All I can say is BEWARE and check your bill, and be prepared to argue!
Excellent. Great food and great service. I had the 6oz sirloin. It was unbelievably tender! As good as the most expensive filet! The casino butter and Signature BlackRock sauce were fantastic as well. Go for the Caesar salad and fries for a wonderful meal. We will be back!
