Hot and sour soup, mild at bestgood taste and good veggies but no 'hot'. Minus one star.Generals Chicken, ordered spicy...got mild, no kick Generals Chicken. For ordering Spicy and getting mild minus aother star.Fried Wontons were as expected, good crispy with tender pork in the center.For.lack of spice 3 stars. If you want your food hot keep the Siracha handy. I added 2 tblsp"s to the Hot and Sour Soup and 4 tbsp's to the Generals Chicken. Spicy, um um good!
So far the best Chinese place I've found in Livingston County.
23 years later and still eating there... Great Food, Best in the the business....
We just ordered dinner from there today. It's not the worst Chinese food I've ever had, but it is certainly not anywhere near the best. And I was disappointed to find that both of my chicken entrees came with pork fried rice, without them telling me that it was going to be pork fried rice. Maybe that's my fault for not asking exactly what kind of rice that came with it, but in my experience chicken entrees typically come with plain shaved or fried rice, or chicken fried rice. The general tso's Chicken was very bland and the chicken was not good quality. Very chewy and fatty. The chicken fried rice was very heavy on the onion. I will not be going here again, especially for about $13 per entree.
And the award for Best Crab Rangoon goes to… Wong Express! These are stuffed with filling and delish!Very nice Staff… always courteous and friendly. I have never been disappointed. They get it right and do it well. Highly recommend!
I order the bbq pork fried rice...besides the bbq pork everything else is tasteless and dry... I want to love it and I keep ordering it hoping it will change, i even add extra onions to give it more flavor and it doesn't work
best Chinese food in the area. owner is fantastic! best eggrolls
Just moved to Brighton and we've been looking for a new Chinese restaurant. This is literally the first Chinese place my wife and I have agreed on after 6 years. The food at Wong Express is fantastic, everything came out hot, as ordered, and even had extra food. Can't recommend enough, we will be back!
We have been coming here since we moved to Brighton (6 yrs). We ordered very recently and were surprised at how expensive they have become. Since they only have carry-out having never reopened for dine in after pandemic hit, they now tack on a 10% gratuity when paying on line which is wrong. Our last order for 2 was almost $55.00! Quality has gone down as well. It was cheaper for us to eat at Ciao Amicis dining in! Sorry to say, we won't be ordering from here anymore.
The food here was amazing. We got a take out order for the first time. The portions were good, food was hot and tasty. The lo mein had a great mix of noddles, veggies, and chicken. Egg rolls were also amazing! Would definitely recommend!
