I've been to a lot of Chinese restaurants serving American Chinese foods, and I am 99% certain that Honto makes the best General Tso's Chicken. Their other dishes are also great, e.g. Mongolian Beef, Garlic Sauce Chicken, Egg Foo Young, Pepper Steak, etc.) The chef is Cantonese which I think is why these dishes are done differently and better compared to those at the other places I've been to. 10/10 recommend.
We have ordered from Honto’s 3 times and believe Honto’s is the best Chinese food in the Brighton Howell area. The Chicken with vegetables is outstanding. They are becoming are go to place
Every time I try going for lunch with my work crew they are always closed from noon till 3pm ... how can we eat lunch there if it's never open ??!!
This is the only Chinese in the Howell/ Brighton area I can say I actually enjoy and is really good. It’s currently takeout only due to covid. Sometimes there is a line for pick up. However it’s well worth it! Seriously I tried several on this area and it took me a year of bad attempts before I found this place.
They are not offering dine in at this time. They do however have take out prepared quickly and it's kept hot for pick up.

Apparently I ordered boneless almond chicken. And it didn't have almonds on it. When my husband called and placed the order. They didn't say anything about not being able to put almonds on it. I order this all the time from other places as well. She told him due to the pandemic they can't put almonds on it. What the heck... Not happyWhen I called to complain. They hung up on me.Never going here again

I will edit this once I get my food and eat it. But for now I’m doing 2 stars already because I did not like the service so far. All I did was call in for a carry out order and she sounded so rude and impatient with me. There was no friendliness at all and it seemed like she couldn’t wait to get off the phone with me. I know restaurant business is stressful but people are customers, maybe try and approach it that way? Again, I’ll edit this when I get my food.*edit* I might have to keep this at 2 stars for carry out. Found some stray hairs in our boxes. And it was AS SOON as I opened them. So. My chicken fried rice was pretty salty. Like, I love my salt, but this was salty. Same with the almond gravy, very salty. The breading on the chicken was amazing though, but the chicken itself it’s like half of the chicken was tough and some was juicy. The wonton soup was AMAZING as well. I’d probably try this restaurant again in person instead of carry out.
This wonderful family owned Chinese restaurant is amazing. The staff is fast and friendly. The food is so delicious with so much flavor and the prices are great!10/10 recommend
