Gourmet Garden never disappoints. I have been coming here for 17 years, and their food is always great. The service is excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.
By far the best chinese cuisine resturaunt we've tried in the area. Not the old KowKow in Detroit, or the old China Clipper in Old Reford, bur probably equal to Victor Lim's. Best we've had since relocating from Florida 2 years ago! Subtracted 1 star because the rice was dried out......but, we'll go back.
Food is good and they will accommodate special requests. One example is chicken breast for dark meat.Restaurant bathroom needs a deep cleaning. Really quite disgusting.
If the kitchen looks anything like the bathroom, don’t come here. Different place from the pre-COVID Gourmet Garden. Still living in COVID land here.But the food was good and reasonably priced.
I ordered orange chicken and it was fatty and just odd overall, my mother ordered sesame chicken and it was like rubber and she showed me how tough it was. My girlfriend ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was pre-made foamy chicken. The waiter was super nice but then the (I assume it was) cook came out and was very upset and wanted us to order something else. We did not pay for any of the chicken we ordered but paid for everything else, wanton soup, crab ragoons, plum wine, and two egg rolls. My mom also found a hair in her food but we forgot to mention it since the assumed cook was standing over us. Overall 1.5 rating.
Too many negative things to carry on about. The bathroom was so filthy there was a black ring around the toilet bowl in every stall. The food was terrible, starting to question what actual animal meat they are serving. Worst Chinese joint I've ever stepped foot in
Gourmet gardens is the ONLY Chinese food I will eat. High quality every time ?
Good Chinese food, but the staff make the restaurant great. I’ve been going here since I was a kid and the service is always excellent. They once served my mom and I tea while waiting for takeout on a particularly cold winter day.
Good food and nice staff made for an enjoyable meal. We appreciated having delicious vegetarian options.
My wife and I have been customers for years and years; the food and service are excellent. The owners and staff go out of their way to make everyone's dining experience perfect in all areas. We always look forward to going to the Gourmet Garden! ALWAYS!
