4 of us from a group of 50 on a bus trip dined together. i ordered chicken strips with Cole slaw, dipping sauce, a biscuit with honey & butter.I received chicken be strips w/steak fries - nothing be else! When our server came back to check I again asked for my slaw, biscuit & dipping sauce. She eventually returned w/dipping sauce & slaw. No biscuit. Oh and all of this in the span of over an hour thus making an entire bus load wait! Another dimer ordered soup & salad. Her soup was cold!
I just left the hospital for surgery. I had not eaten in 17 hours being diabetic I needed food. with a limited diet, I knew Cracker Barrel would have grilled food. Wife and I have dined here since it first opened decades ago. We were greeted by Host Travis whose genuine good natured was brought a smile to our faces. I walked past Manager Dan and I recognized that he was actually helping serve hot food with his wait staff. Usually I have seen managers here who just stand around and do nothing. I knew this was going to be a good meal. Waiter Greg is a life saver. Mentioning my need for something to offset my low blood sugar, he immediately brought me fresh biscuits and my lunch salad. I cannot thank him enough because I felt woo much better. The rainbow trout was delicious, my wife even enjoyed her meal. Greg was budding 10 to 12 tables and he cheerfully greeted each customers and quickly mer their needs and wishes. To management, please do everything you can for Greg, He is going into law enforcement and eventually join the FBI. PLEASE, Cracker Barrel support him, he is willing to put his life on the line for us! My future hero! He id one beautiful young man. This meal was special.
It was good, could've been better. The waitress was super nice and attentive. I ordered a sirloin steak and asked for medium well but it was cooked almost medium rare, still tasted good just wanted it cooked different. Some of the sides were room temp not really hot. The biscuits and cornbread were good. The grits I had were okay. Pricing is good too. My cost was about 20$ I think, felt like it would've been more. All in all pretty okay. If you're going to get a taste of the south, you'll get a sliver of the taste here so don't expect much.
It's good to see that Cracker Barrel survived the pandemic. I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The only problem I saw was that the amount of candy they have in the store section was quite a bit less than what they usually carry. I guess there are manufacturer difficulties that they never used to have. I also had to wait 45 minutes for a table. To be fair this was because of a worker shortage and we waited patiently. Although we were the last table seated for the night our server was pleasant and kind. She gave us top-notch service and my tip reflected that.
We came here for dinner and had the best experience. Our waitress Emily Knight was very wonderful smiling very polite knew the menu very well and made sure she checked on us very frequently to make sure we were happy with our food and kept our drinks filled. Highly recommended for a place to eat and highly recommend Emily as your waiter
My husband and I waited 25 mins for a refill and by that time our food was cold. My husband also asked for a side ranch and never got that. We didn’t get asked how our food was and the manager handled this very poorly. She told us she took off my meal as she rolled her eyes at us in disgust. Very very poor management.
Very disappointing experience. Took them exactly an hour to serve our food and everything was overcooked. Over easy eggs on toast were too dry, scrambled eggs were like a block of rubber, the loaded hashbrown casserole was tiny and burnt, and the grits were solidified. The portion sizes were small too. I've been to many Cracker Barrels and this location did not live up to typical Cracker Barrel standards.
It's cracker barrel so it is what it is, but they definitely do close earlier than they are supposed to on Sundays. Usually they are always out of supposedly their infamous fried Chicken, the chicken that's on all dumb billboards. Finally had it, nothing to write home about. Also they really need to cook their bacon better. It's always basically raw. But that's a matter of preference. Anywho it's cracker barrel the ambiance is good and the store is awesome. And their servers are overworked and probably underpaid.
I'm not sure why I didn't give them less than three stars. The staff was working hard and courteous. The food was tasteless. Scrambled eggs were over cooked. Biscuits and gravy were tasteless. Coffee was very weak. Had to wait an hour for the meal. This was a memorable experience only because of how substandard it was. I hope the next meal there is better. It will be awhile though.
Never got our food after waiting an hour. Kept asking and getting excuses. Finally had to leave as my wife is diabetic and her blood sugar was crashing.Even after we were told that it was ready and asked to be boxed up so we could take it and get my wife home so she didn't get sick in the restaurant, they failed there as well. Asked the server and manager both to do it, but it never happened.Poor excuses and insincere apology from manager. The manager in particular seemed unconcerned.Literally the worst customer experience of my life.Wouldn't recommend at all.Would give zero stars if possible.
