Had dinner Saturday night before the fireworks. We hardly seen our waiter outside. After almost an hour, we finally got our food not to mention a group of 6 got their food before us even though they got there after us and ordered after us also.. Which mine was wrong and all the waiter said was sorry “the kitchen staff is dumb”. The potato chips on the side were very good but would have enjoyed more than a child size amount. Not impressed at all.

Such a rad spot! Food is great and the homemade chips are dangerous. Beer is cold with a decent selection. Outside patio is great and you can tell it’s a local favorite.Bartender is super nice and checks back on you at the perfect time.It is my hope that this place never changes.

We are new to the area and have wanted to try Rathskeller for a while now - SO GLAD we did!First, we were greeted at the door by a small boy (Jasper?) who was more polite than most adults I know. He opened the doors for us and welcomed us to Rathskeller's. We were then greeted by a server who was on her second day of work - Lindsey was FANTASTIC! Anything she wasn't sure of she confirmed with Amanda (more on her further down) and worked/charmed her heart out for each customer! Amanda is obviously the heartbeat of Rathskeller. She did it all and with a sense of humor and a beautiful smile. Amanda worked the bar, did quality control on the kitchen, helped Lindsey with any questions and kept a keen eye on Jasper. No wonder she is so tiny....she never stopped! The food (a burger for Spencer and Reuben for me with cheesy bacon covered fries to share - YUM!!) was TERRIFIC! Portions were large (I took half of mine home) and everything was beautifully prepared and delicious. I have no idea what Rathskeller was like when it was owned by the previous owners, but whoever owns it now needs to thank their lucky stars they have Amanda, Lindsey, Jasper and the rest of the crew. If you haven't been and don't mind a small, older bar with high top tables (a few low ones also) TV's, a wait when it is busy, affordable prices, damn good food and (even better) hard working employees that go the extra mile then this place is for YOU! Also, make sure you 'tip' Jasper - that kid hustles for the customers more than regular workers at other places do!

excellent portions! great service!

Food was good. Waitress was more interested in her normal customers than checking on our table. My water ran out and I had to ask for bill from bartender. Once she dropped off food we did not see here again. To bad or this would have been a better rating

I ordered a cod dinner tonight. IT WAS AMAZING. You guys were super busy and everyone seemed so nice even with the circumstances. My only downfall is when I ordered at 5:50pm they said 40 minutes. No big deal. But I didn’t get my takeout until 7:05pm. Girls were super nice and even offered me another beer for free (which was greatly appreciated). Just expected the time to be better. Will be back soon for some more fish!!

The jalapeño burger was delicious. Our waitress however was not as attentive as she could have been. The electronic patrons keno machine was down so that was a downer.

I just want to say how much we really enjoyed the New Rathskeller! Food is much improved and the service is excellent! Its our new favorite on Midland Street!

We ordered Perch dinners and they were awesome! Great quantity and delicious!! Highly recommend
