I just love this place. Wish they had drive through. I always get the same thing. A KOGELS coney dog, frys and RICE PUDDING. I said it. RICE PUDDING. Makes me so happy. There are many offerings on the menu. No longer offer inside eating since covid. Also. CASH ONLY and closed on Mon. And Tues. Arg! Highly recommended.
Used to love the Coney dogs, but they don't taste the same. Quality of the dog is suspect. The prices have really gone up .
Really good hotdogs and other meals but sometimes they're short on products. Don't go in expecting to always get what you want.
Good food, very reasonable in price. Pretty greasy, but tasted good. Staff is nice and organized

Mr. Hot Dog is a Bay City staple!! They only use the best...Kogels, of course. Their Coney, Fish/Chicken dinners are fabulous; not to mention the Steak Sandwiches, Double Doubles, Grilled Ham & Cheese, Fries and Absolutely, the Best Onion Rings!! The staff is always quick on their feet with a smile to share. If you go away hungry, that's your own fault!!
One of my favorite restaurants. Whenever I'm working in bay city I go here to eat. Their double doubles are amazing. Coney dogs are OK but I'm not a hotdog fan. The fish sandwich is amazing and the onion rings are great. Food is fresh and fast.
There's only a cpl problems, 1) There's only 1 location now 2) They're not open 7 days a week, lately even the days open vary. 3) I can't fit more in my stomach at each visit. LOL 4) Amazing Onion rings. 1) Their secret sauce is heaven in your mouth & murder on white shirts. ?❤?
It was meh (to a degree)...I've gone to Mr. Hotdog religiously for many of years (mostly visited the one on the south-end). Still sad that one is gone and we are stuck with this one.My 2 cents from the order I had tonight:- The smell of fried goodness as you walk in, no issues there.- Ordered the onion rings, those brought back memories and they were tasty...good job there.- The star of the place, the coney dogs (got the cheese coneys) and they were meh to say the least. The chili looked and tasted different, little to no seasoning. Very little topping with the cheese. Hotdog was warm and it was totally a koegel dog. Still it was editable.- Cash only...really?! Quit being a cheapskate and get a Square or two. This makes me question other reviewers saying your dodging something.- Employees were rude and I can tell a toxic work environment when I see it.There has to be management/owner issues going on and they need to step it up on an employee level and quality control level. Probably wont go back till I have another heavy craving of coney dogs.
