Went there after a terrible round of golf, friends decided this would be the best place to go. I am sure glad we went to O'Brien's as we did have other plans. We walked in asked if we had reservations, we didn't but were promptly seated. Bar had several folks sitting watching the game on TV, there were a few families sitting at tables all in different phases of eating their meal. I saw a variety of meals on peoples' plates so guessing what to have been something to think about. It is softshell crab season, which brings back memories of sitting over my Mother-in-Laws eating crab while watch the Redskins. Well, I opted for the grouper, I was pleasantly surprised with a lightly breaded decent portion of fish in a creamy white sauce with rice and artichoke hearts. OMG was the meal great. Our waitress was pleasant, making sure while we ate we didn't want anything else. While eating I saw a few folks taking leftovers home, my meal was so good I didn't take anything home. I will be returning to O'Brien's soon.
While the experience was enjoyable. I guess one of the normal patrons of the establishment that dines there wasn't tasteful. A little pricey, but I guess reasonable, while the atmosphere was quaint, its a little small but to each it's own. Me and my wife really enjoyed the food, service was alright yet didn't wish us a happy Easter like everyone else who entered but I guess it due to obvious reasons when we looked around. We were the only ones there who looked like us in the entire establishment. Idk if we will go back but for that one time it was enjoyable.
Some of the best seafood around at very reasonable prices. The warm and very hospitable owner very well may live there as he’s been there every time I’ve been in, always checking in with tables and making sure everyone’s happy.It’s hard to justify going anywhere else for seafood, so don’t, definitely try it out and I’m sure you’ll be so pleased that you’ll want to write a glowing review for such a hidden gem that O’Brien’s truly is.Also the perch piccata is amazing. Especially over angel hair pasta. Another reason I love this place, they usually will let you substitute small things around, such as pasta instead of rice.
It been a while since we have been there. It was before Covid. Unfortunately, our experience this wasn't the greatest. With the cost of going out to eat now a days it just wasn't worth it. Staff wasn't that friendly. Our waitress seemed like she didn't like her job. There is also no gluten free options to eat. They modified a plate and it wasn't the greatest. Dinner for my family was $140 and honestly we did not like the food.
You need reservations! We didn't have one, but my wife asked about sitting at the bar. The hostess moved a chair and asked the others to slide a little and we got a spot.Thanks to all involved. Fantastic fish dinner. We will be back, with a reservation!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at O'Brien's. I wish I could recall the name of our server, she was awesome. The food was great and the service was awesome!!! We came for the Stone Crab but will be back whether in season or not.
Great Little Place. Best soups in the area and the seafood always tastes fresh. Just a real relaxing warm feeling when you eat here. Will be coming to this place as long as it remains open.
We had the king crab legs and scallops. DELICIOUS! Cost of crab has gone up a lot so we split one order which was 1.5 lbs of crab legs. Great atmosphere and service. There was a long wait but we got lucky and found seats at the bar. Awesome place !
Ordered for New Year's eve. Food arrived on time. It was the best packaged delivery we have ever gotten. Food arrived hot, in solid containers, looking appetizing. And it tasted as good as if we were sitting in the restaurant. Great job! Will order for delivery again.
Everyone in our party of 5 was blown away by how good the food is. The clam chowder was unbelievable. I can't wait for them to open for lunch to get some chowder and bread. Stone crab was delicious, as were the scallops, shrimp, etc.... Nothing pretentious here, just fantastically good food and a server that knew just how to be there when needed, but not overbearing. I highly recommend for their seafood and can't wait to come back.
