I went and they were closed on a Monday at 4pm. The online orders were not shut off nor was anything posted about this online. You’d think they’d let people know they’d be closed in advance since we are in a society where gas is almost $6 a gallon but I guess we can’t all have common decency.Update: it’s a week later and they still are not open. If you refuse to be a business then you need to shut down.
The woman working the counter was incredible! Friendly, kind, and accurate.I got a 32 oz lobster bisque. It's a lil pricey, but worth it. The broth is delightful! The lobster (and shellfish, according to their website) is a little bit chewy, but there's a LOT of it. Awesome! A lot of places have, like, no meat in their bisque. Not the case at Zoup! The other item I ordered was their 1/2 Cali Chicken Sandwich. It was kinda disappointing. It was virtually all bread (see photos). The first two bites were bread and bread only (not an exaggeration). I don't think I've ever been served a sandwich so skimpy. It was also missing the white cheddar, and that was one of the deciding factors when I choose my meal. The nearest Zoup! is 30 minutes away in good traffic, and I'm a single mom on a budget, so it's kind of a treat to myself when I'm nearby this location. Today was definitely disappointing.Ultimately, will I be back? Yes. The bisque and staff (ESPECIALLY the staff!) will get me back in the door. However, if my sandwich is a representation of the rest of the Zoup! menu, I can NOT recommend it.Final note, while my friend and I were eating outdoors (it's great, because the tables are covered), an older woman in a wheelchair approached the door. My friend quickly went over and opened and held the door for her. Had my friend (or anyone else) not helped her, she couldnt not entered the Zoup! location. It's a heavy door. And she couldn't reach the handle.
This was my first time trying Zoup! I ordered the Southwest Turkey sandwich with a side of the tomato soup. Very delicious!!
The restaurant across the street that we originally wanted to go to was closed, so we decided to try this. We were very disappointed. The tables were dirty and very expensive for what you get. Not worth the money. The size of the sandwiches was small, the soup was small and bland. The pop was extremely flat, not a single ounce of carbonation in any of their choices. We ordered grilled cheese dippers and they gave us a literal grilled cheese to cut up ourselves. The restaurant was short staffed, but the staff was nice. The only plus. Thoroughly disappointed.
I really like the lobster bisque. This location had been very slow and service had been lacking. It appears they hired a manager who has been working very hard on improving service and wait times. He has been doing a great job, the service is now up to what I would say is acceptable. We were able get our lunch along with the others in the lunch rush quick enough to still have some of our lunch break left over. First time in a very long time since.thatbhas happened.
It was my first time here, and their chicken&bacon cobb was pretty good!
I was a restaurant manager for over 25 years. Restaurant openings were hard during normal times. I think you're doing a fantastic job despite some of these comments I have read! People have no patience and feel like they are the only ones on the planet. I wish everyone would work in the service business in the current climate for one week and maybe learn how to treat your team members! Thank you to all of them and to you for showing up every day and providing exemplary service and food to everyone who walks through your door.
DO NOT COME TO this location. Horribly dirty and absolutely no safe food handling practices. Employees were wearing gloves then proceeded to go mop, touch the trash, wipe their nose, roll up their sleeves and then literally go straight to touching food again. One employee was sleeping on the bench and just woke up and walked right into the kitchen without scrubbing in. Plus they got my order completely wrong, manager was nice when I talked to him (Louie) but is young and I doubt will confront the other employees. They need an adult manager to come in and check on their standards for food service.
Ordered online via their website but neither soup we ordered was available. What was available looked horrible so we asked for refund. Person at counter says we need to talk to door dash or whoever we ordered from. I had to find a generic customer service contact to ask for a refund. Hopefully I get one. I've wasted my time driving here and am out money.Never again.
First time going to Zoup and I highly recommend it it was very clean I met the manager his name was Jamaican super nice guy, amazing service and was highly satisfied
