The food was pricey, but delicious! We had to wait a while to order our food, but we had a party of 10 and we went on a Saturday. Friendly staff and good vibes!
Fast service and delicious food some of the best I’ve had in a long time
Wonderful location with great parking. Excellent menu with a diverse selection - something for everyone! Delicious.
We found the breading used to be a bit spicy. The chicken fried steak was a bit dry and I was expecting cube steak not a VERY thin leathery piece of beef.
The food was excellent, and the waitperson was fine. But the person who actually served the food was incompetent and annoying. I ordered a flight of oysters; when he brought them, he did not provide a small fork to eat them. My entree was chicken-fried steak. But when the same person brought it, he did not ask if we needed anything else. I had to stop him from leaving and ask for a sharp knife. When I did, he looked befuddled and annoyed at being bothered. He did bring the sharp knife, but the experience definitely did not live up to Zingermanâs reputation of excellent service. More generally, this is the second time within a one-week period that I have had this kind of experience at the Roadhouse. Last week (July 5) I dined there with two other people. Just as this weekâs experience, the waitstaff was fine, but the server was terrible- that time, he nearly spilled my seafood stew on my lap. I moved quickly, but he still got it all over the table, and never came back to clean it up (he didnât even offer to do so).
After hearing all the hype of going to Zingermanâs Roadhouse, We made reservations and drove up from Toledo. Staff and servers were very friendly and professional and we were greeted at the door. Our server was prompt in greeting us at the table. Upon reviewing the menu we were a little surprised that a bbq beef brisket sandwich was $20 but figured OK Iâm going to try it because Iâve heard how good the food was. We were there for lunch. My son ordered a barbecue pork sandwich which was $19. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. The beef brisket had a very tough crust and was dry his pork was tough and dry as well. Both were served on a smaller size hamburger bun. He received a side of french fries and literally a serving size of shot glass full of coleslaw. My son requested an appetizer and he received one oyster for $3.50. We passed on any alcoholic drinks and each of us got their draft root beer which is $4.50 a glass. Total dinner was over $55 and I tip the standard 20% so over $65 total. Quite frankly we ate at culvers last week and I tried their beef brisket barbecue sandwich. Not only was it stacked on the bun but it was extremely tender and had a great flavor. It was piled higher than Zyrman and was under $10 with french fries. Sorry Zingermanâs not that you care but I wonât be returning. Very disappointing food and way over priced.
My favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor! The wife and I love it so much that we had them cater our wedding. Never had a bad meal or bad service. The staff is impeccable at making your visit great.
Great food and great service. We used to live in Ann Arbor and ate here regularly. We visited this weekend after 10 years, and Zingerman's Roadhouse is as good as we remembered! My kids loved it, too. Great quality ingredients! Great, friendly service! I can't wait to come back. I recommend the Grits and Bits Waffle for brunch and sweet potato fries anytime. Also, we only eat outdoors (pandemic) and they had several outdoor tables (though you might want to get there when they open or at off-peak times to get one) -- plus an efficient to-go operation, if you are still concerned about covid, like we are.
Always a good experience!
Awesome as always. The staff are amazing, making you feel welcome, understanding the menu and offering options, sharing their time with you. We were celebrating a family birthday, but the service was no different than our âevery dayâ type of visit. Dining room, carry out, or at the bar - great service, good food, good times. Shout out to Kayla (#14) and Felipe - awesome!
