+RUDE SERVICE+UNDERCOOKED DUMPLINGS+FOOD POISONINGThis place used to be good. Now dumplings are barely cooked. The service also bad. We had two orders of dumplings so there was a tiny cup of each sauce for the two orders. When we go to pick it up, she removes two of the sauces (after looking at our check where we didn't leave a tip because it was takeout!). We literally saw her open the tied bag, take two of them out, and retie it in front of us. :/FYI, tipping is not expected if you aren't actually giving service. And even more important, cook your food properly! (Food poisoning --- fantastic!)
Four stars because the food was good, especially the curry. When I got home I noticed on my card statement I was charged double the tip I agreed to pay. I ordered online and put a tip amount. When I got to the restaurant I paid with a card and they added the tip amount to the total that already included the original tip. It was only a few dollars so I am not going to dispute this with the card company or restaurant but I do think others should be aware of this.
First time ordering take out, all of the dumplings needed to have a sauce to accompany it, pretty bland. Crab Rangoon were fine, steamed pork buns were hard in some places and had bits of bone in it. Probably won’t order from them again.
I was a little nervous based on some of the reviews, but my order was correct, the service was fine, and the food was okay. The rice was a bit overcooked/soft. The beef with broccoli tasted a little bland but everything was cooked properly, the carrots & broccoli were appropriately crunchy. The entree came with a ton of rice and the steamed pork buns were cooked through and tasted fine.
Wanted to try authentic dumplings and other dishes. While the food was good, I can relate to others who reviewed that gave one or two stars. I have read many comments about bad service, tipping issues, wrong orders, frozen dumplings, and raw (meat) dumplings.I experienced the bad service and wrong orders as well. I did not mind the dumplings and my party was surprised to find that every bite of their dish they had had tiny bones in it (which I know is OK, but they were still unaware and therefore did not enjoy the experience as much).
Was super excited to try the dumplings, but was let down pretty quickly when I bit into one only to find out it was half cooked. Meat was still pink and raw, which was very disappointing, and the dumpling wrapper was super thick. Honestly won’t go back, which is a bummer because I was really looking forward to it!
Last time I was here, I thought the dumplings were great. This time, they were horrible!! The two “favorites “ tasted exactly the same. Just balls of ground meat in dough. The scallion pancake was inedible. Last time, I thought the regular meals were quite bad and didn’t try them again this time.
Went here for fast lunch last Veterans day. Ordered the famous dumplings - chicken and pork, marinated duck, and pork belly. On top of the slow serving as compared to those who came after to order take out, got their full order before us and got out; the food was plain bland. The dumplings are worst compare to those you can buy from any Asian grocery stores. Now the service - as a rule my rule of thumb especially this pandemic, I usually give tip more than 10% just to help out. But with what we experienced here it’s not even worth it. Nevertheless, I left a $5 tip. As i walk out the door the waitress was yelling at me to come back and demanded I did not gave her tip and it must be 20% tip! I told her I left you $5 tip. She yelled at me - no! It must be 20%! I said No! Tips are voluntary! Not Mandatory! You don’t force your customer to give more than they want to give! ... the rest is just a jibberish bs from her. This place is a mediocre Chinese restaurant and with very rude service. Not sure why this place gets more than 3 stars here and everywhere, makes you question these reviews and these individuals. So yeah, come at your risk. I’m not getting back and so should you.
Food was OK, B maybe even B+, but that is probably the only thing acceptable about this place.First, the environment. Too cramped, they put twice the amount of tables the place could hold. Familiar with really tight booth? Get ready for the tiniest booth in town. Sticky table? Check. Non-matching silverware? Check. The chopsticks we were give could not stop rolling. Chipped plates? Check.Second, service. Ever being served appetizer 25 minutes after all other entries? Get ready for such an experience. Order things you want the most from the menu? " Sorry, we are out of most the stuff because we are closed on Monday". That totally makes you question when were the food made. Last Monday, Maybe. If you don't think this is a red flay, I have nothing for you.Update:They changed the tip amount on my credit card bill. I am not sure if that is a crime, but sure not ethical.
Amazing. Fantastic. Wonderful. Delicious food, very friendly staff. I got 20 dumplings made to order in less than 10 minutes. They were so good that I had them eaten in only 15.
