Good but not great for korean food options.
Been to the two top rated sushi joints in Ann Rbor and this place is number one. A little hard to find but worth the effort. Comfortable but the money's in the food and service, not the decor. They have some delightfully innovative tongue in cheek dishes like Korean military stew, which features Spam as an ingredient (try it you'll like it) which puts it a cut above the rest.
I've been buying sushi here for years, while the sushi is good and I've never gotten sick, the rice does tend to be a bit sweet and fruity almost.The udon broth is pretty good and they have good lunch specials. They have a solid selection of special rolls as well.
Love Umi! This is by far my favorite sushi restaurant in town, I come here very often. The miso soup and ginger salad are my favorite in the area. Our top picks for sushi are the Phoenix, Salmon Avalanche, and Crazy Heart rolls. We also love the Chicken Katsu and the Beef Teriyaki entrees! The staff are very friendly and always make us feel welcome, I've never had a bad experience here.
Didn't even send all of the food that was ordered. We also got sick just after eating it. Just trash. Go somewhere else if you don't wanna get sick.

Food was great. Service is really slow. The waitstaff seem to disappear for prolonged periods. No one followed up after food delivered. Still waiting for check. There is literally one other table. ??♂️
