When you walk into the restaurant, it smells like rotten fruit. Not a single worker was wearing gloves and went back and forth from handling food to handling cash without washing their hands or putting on gloves. BEWARE the bananas that are used are often black and slimy. I peaked back behind the food bar and was mortified. Workers were putting black bananas into customers’ smoothies. It’s hard to tell if the food is bad when it’s gone through a blender. FYI managers, you may be saving money by using bad food, but you are harming customers JUST TO SAVE SOME MONEY.
My Wife’s a Nurse just got off work, took her here to get a bite to eat before she has to go back for another shift. Its 820 they close at 900pm, 40 minutes from now. And inform us they can’t make sandwiches and are closing down the lobby, also no trash bags in the can to throw our straw wrappers away. Employees had snarky attitude to add to the experience. This place is a regular for us and I am extremely disappointed.
I been to this location several times. Like any other day, I would have gave this place 4 stars, but today one of the workers (front cashier) is very rude for no reason. Needs to be train how to talk and act around customer!! Please quit your job if you don't like people. Only thing I ask was to remove a condiment. Like always have a bless day ma'am ?
Terrible. I ordered online and was on time to when it said it'd be ready and stood inside for 20 minutes for them to make a watery smoothie and give me my cold flatbread. The girls running the place we gossiping my than working and frankly rude to me. I wont be coming to the Washtenaw Ave address again.
Order wasn't ready at pick up time, but once it was, it was delicious and had a generous amount of chicken (Supergreen Caesar Wrap). I'd stop here again??
The manager, Maddy I believe her name was, was beyond rude and lacked proper customer service. With her being a manager, she is not a very good leader and I feel very sorry for employees that have to work with her.
I was traveling through Michigan and needed to stop and grab a smoothie and stumbled by this place on accident. We decided to try it out. This is such a cute spot with delicious smoothies!! Everyone was kind and their service was quick! Very clean place too!I had the Hurricane smoothie and it was so tropical and really hit the spot! On the road I had wished I ordered another one HA!My friend said his smoothie and salad were great.I had been searching for my wallet and ended up leaving it at this place. Ashley and Jordan assisted me so kindly with their help locating my wallet and I want to specifically thank them!! Kindness really matters and can make someones day. I really appreciate them and other employees who go out of their way to help others! :)Thank you so much for this experience. I will most definitely recommend this place and return on my future Michigan adventures!!
The absolute best Tropical Smoothie Cafe in and around Ann Arbor hands down. Great service, courteous and friendly. Imma regular now. If your in the area, drop in.
Waited 25mins for one smoothie. They didn't serve in order of orders being placed. People who ordered food and smoothies after me received their orders before me. *Update: received an unexpected refund gift card in the mail for the smoothie so I upgraded to 3 stars.
Good smoothies, but some of the workers don't wear their masks properly, or some of them not at all.
