excellent staff & food. definitely worth the wait.
Loved our meal: Miso Soup, Vegetable Gyoza, Edamame (not salted enough), Hell Yeah roll (spicy with sweet drizzle and topped with crunchy bits), and a Spicy Tuna roll with avocado. Felt like a dorm room cafeteria--crowded and full of students, but it was delicious!
Great vegan spot! Tempura veggie rolls, vegetable California rolls, and spicy veggie rolls, to name a few! Vegetable gyoza was excellent. We went on a Sunday for dine-in service, and the place had plenty of seating, wasn't overly crowded, and had fast/friendly service. Will go again!
Full disclosure - 5 stars for me is top 5% experience - 4 stars is what I give to most places that hit all of the criteria - 3 stars is an average experience - 2 stars for something that did not go as it should have and 1 star for the 5% worst experiences in my life.This is always a solid experience- I ordered the Monday special - California roll, upon soup, katsu and a salad with that lovely ginger dressing. The place is a little packed, due to the shape, but the service and food quality and price make it a great campus gem!!!!
Awesome Japanese food. Delicious for sure and I recommend it.
First time here for us, and we quite enjoyed it!! Highly recommend their teriyaki bowl if you’re scared to try something new. 10/10.
Will always be a favorite of mine, simply due to all the hair memories I have of coming here with my old partner! But the sushi platters were amazing! If only I'd thought to take a photo of it before inhaling everything!
Love Totoro! I come to AA for Dr appointments & it's always a special treat to eat at Totoro after. Great quality of fish and great prices. I love the staff too!
This place is definitely not a 4.5 star sushi restaurant like the ratings say. The truth is that it’s the most affordable sushi for college students who never eat good quality sushi before so they rate it very high. Sushi is probably one of the cheapest tasting I’ve had in a while. Nagomi, miki and Wolverine sushi bar are much better than this.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The broth in the Totoro Spicy Noodles was absolutely divine and would highly recommend checking out if you are near. The sushi is big and flavorful as well.
