They got my carryout order for a group all correct and tasted great.I've also met up here for a coffee and snack and it was nice.Good setting and vibes.Only cons are they miss phone calls during business hours once in a while and you might have to wait in line a bit.
Love the ambiance and the food. Staff are friendly. It's my favorite Cafe in Ann Arbor.The lunch specials are a great deal. Love their turkey club sandwich.
They close the dining room @ 3p even though it says they are open until 5p. Also weirdly the wifi doesn't "turn on" until 2pm. I have been to plenty of coffee shops with no wifi, but NONE with wifi for a small part of the day. I love supporting local coffee shops, but just didn't love my experience here. On a slightly more positive note...they do have sandwiches that can be made gluten free by using wraps though the soup or sides I am not sure were gluten free. I also did not see any gluten free baked goods.
Awesome coffee! The lavender latte is great and their pistachio turkey sandwich is my favorite. Consistent and never lets me down! My only complaint is the rosemary latte tastes nothing like it and could definitely use some more flavor.
You order at the counter and a staff member delivers your food to you. It was very busy at 11am on a Friday. I had a sausage omelet with avocado-- yum!
It is a nice place, with lots of daylight and space. Food and coffee are pretty good. Out of three visits two were disappointing: the first time I got there, the customer before me took so much time, my order came in after closing time. The lady at the till didn't take my order even when the guy before me walked out of the store to get his wallet. The second disappointment was to find out on weekdays there is takeout only after 3. When I expressed my disappointment I was told this information was available on the door and website. These experiences took all the fun out of this place for me. No more Songbird for me.
Unique and delicious coffees and sandwiches. Fast, safe and friendly service. I stop in to this wonderful cafe every single time I'm in town. I highly recommend checking it out if you enjoy tastey and original drinks and food choices.
Please please bring back the tofu hoagi or other vegan options. I used to eat here 2-3 times per week and now there aren’t really any good vegan options. The tofu hoagi was the best vegan sandwich in Ann Arbor. The lattes are amazing. The London fog with oat milk is probably the best latte I’ve had. Everyone I know loves there sandwiches and would recommend.
The family that runs this restaurant is fantastic, the food is amazing and I can't wait till I can eat there again
