Good place. Not alot to eat there but has good drinks. Kund of pricy. But what do you expect? It is ann arbor. Everything is pricy. Drinks were delicious though. Best place to celebrate achievements. Enjoy a margarita there.
Excellent drinks! Wished the portions were slightly larger, but it is always great! It is a darker atmosphere so be prepared when you are entering and exiting the place.
Excellent setting, proper staff in both front and back of house. The chef is friendly and enjoys sharing new dish ideas and always creating a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend! Call ahead, they are always booked on reservations.
Great vibes, tasty food, and the best cocktails in A2! The Last Word is an excellent date night spot, great dinner restaurant, or just a chill place to grab food and drinks with friends. The speak-easy atmosphere is unique and comfortable. The bartenders and staff are outstanding. I’ve been here several times and will keep coming back!
Swanky, low-key setting with an excellent cocktail and food menu - loved everything we had and all the recommendations by staff were spot on. Recommend a reservation, otherwise you’ll likely have to wait for a seat. Both seating at the tables and the bar felt equivalent - a cool experience either way.
Hard to find, but worth the effort! Exquisite custom cocktails were delicious. Fun late night lounge vibe. Very knowledgeable wait staff helped to find great choices of drinks.
We visited Last Word for a second time. They have great drinks and charcuterie boards. Just don't go there for dinner. I had the sweet and spicy chicken boa buns. They had no flavor, they weren't spicy or sweet and were so poorly seasoned I was looking for a salt shaker. Luckily we saved the sauces from the charcuterie board, so I dipped my flavorless chicken in them. My husband had the steelhead trout, once again, it needed salt. This place must place salt and pepper shakers to the table if the chefs/cooks don't properly season the food. Our friend had the Tuscan boar ragu, she thought it was ok, overwhelming turmeric flavor. Underseasoned yet again. The cauliflower, no flavor, no spice, no acidity. This quality of food, this is not a high end restaurant. The food does not live up to its price. The manager needs to reevaluate that menu or retrain the cooks to make it properly. So many great restaurants nearby, grab dinner at one of them, not here.
Tasty cocktails in a fun speakeasy vibe. I snacked on the poutine, which was great bar snack. Door was easy to miss as I was walking by in the dark. Added to the allure!
Amazing bourbon/whiskey selection. Best selection I've found in years and the prices are more then reasonable for them as well. Don't overlook their store picks.Mixed drinks are also just as good. Worth the trip to Ann Arbor just for this place.A must try for any cocktail and/or whiskey lover.
I absolutely love everything about The Last Word. The people are amazing, the food is delicious, and the drinks are perfect. I cannot say enough good things about them all. They even have a lot of celiac safe gluten free dining options, including the best truffle fries I have ever had (dedicated fryer). They even added a new gf dessert to the menu, thank you so much for everything you do to make this my favorite place.
