Delightful and delicious, Sweetwaters has managed to capture both my attention and taste-buds!I was a bit confused on where the entrance to this building was located, but I guess there are two doors that you can enter into Sweetwaters with. One of the doors is outside the market area, and opens into a main foyer that accesses all the other local shops inside the tower. The second door is the main entrance for the café itself, and is located around the corner of the building.Overall, the room itself is comprised of medium-high ceilings with exposed framework, brick, and air ducts. It's both unfinished but somehow put together at the same time. I actually am quite fond of the "partially done" look, It makes the café as a whole feel raw and real. The counter was well organized and clean. The seating was abundant and varied (with both hard and soft seating options). It did feel a little tight on space, but it wasn't overly crowded.Even though a few of my food inquires were met with "no we can't do that," or "sorry, we just ran out," I did manage to find something that WAS on the menu and available to purchase. I don't blame them, however. I had ordered around 4 pm, so that might explain their stock running low. Despite that, the staff were very kind to my friend and I when taking our time to order, and we waited very little for everything to come out.I ordered the Thai Tea, and I was not disappointed. It was absolutely mouth-watering. The coffee that my friend had ordered was also rich and strong (as far as coffees go). We also shared a orange-cranberry scone which happened to very yummy when paired with both our drinks, as well. The pricing was fair in both café standards and in general. I think that the quality is exceptionally high, and the amount of food/drink meets the price as well.I think this is the perfect spot for hanging out with friends, having a "catch-up" conversation with someone, or working on your computer away from home. This café is both quiet enough to get a few words or sentences in without losing focus, as well as being sufficiently lively to have something to catch your eye from time to time when a break is needed. If you're in the area, or you're visiting the weekend's Market place and need a place to sit and enjoy a refreshing beverage/pastry, look no further than the Sweetwaters Coffee& Tea in Kerry Town!
Great coffee shop, teas, bakery at Kerrytown Shops next to AA Farmers Market
Every time I’m been here, the baristas/cashiers have been very socially awkward. I should not have to guess whether or not it’s my turn because the cashier just stares at me. I’m never met with pleasantries or told my total, the cashier just walks away. The atmosphere is alright but there’s a lot to be improved from the perspective of someone who works in customer service. Also I think it’s ridiculous that I paid $5 for a regular cup of tea when I could just buy a box for about that price.
The barista was super nice and the drink was delicious. 13/10 would recommend.
Part of Tarrytown complex, unique boutiques, marke and deli. Coffee to your unique tastes and bake goods.
It can get pretty busy and they are suffering from staffing issues but I still got my drink fast and was able to find a spot to work. Drinks are good, not great, but are better than Starbucks. The environment is noisy but not in an offensive way. It's a nice place to meet up or get some work done, just be sure to check the hours. Because of said staffing issues they have limited hours on some days and are entirely closed on others.
After I asked the workers to make a "extra creamy" milkshakeI heard alot of grunting at first, but then it all went silent then they emerged with a milkshake dripping with droplets of milk and more ;)The taste was immaculate, quite sour but some sweet. It was extra THICK but had some runny parts10/10 service from them unforgettable.
The cold brew was amazing. Don't live in Ann Arbor but will probably go again next time we visit.
Was pretty busy on a Saturday morning because of the farmer's market but the baristas worked very quickly! Latte was great and very pretty. They gave out drinks without lids and everyone put on their own lids if desired at a separate station (I think as a covid precaution).
Students love going there....staff is patient with students ordering and counting out their money!
